Rest reduces stress!

You need time to recharge.

Sometimes, when there's a lot going on, people are making lots of demands of you, work is overly busy.... you have to stop and take a quiet moment to regain energy to make it through the rest of the day.  Even 15 minutes is so helpful.  It's like taking a mental deep breath.

@thoughtfulmomma

I so agree with you, even 15 minutes can help to get grounded and rebalance.

It reduces stress, improves overall mood and also helps to regain energy throughout the day so when when you do go back to the task at hand , you feel much more rejuvenated and focused.

I like to take breaks to feel more focused :) I took a short break today dog walking and it was so rejuvenating. What a great thread. What breaks do you like to take, Ami and how do they help you? I often like exercise breaks to get some fresh air as it really helps!

@LisaMeighanMScGMBPsS

Lisa I can so relate with getting some fresh air, feeling the breeze touch your skin, maybe let some gentle sunshine touch your skin - it's like a rejuvination process!

I like to do a few minutes of deep breathing or the DPD STOP technique to get centered again and continue my day with a clear mind. Exercise is also very helpful since it improves the blood flow what helps with cognition so my brain can perform better after a brief exercise.
