Hi everyone!
I hope you are all well 🌻
Quotes can capture our minds and help us creatively problem-solve or even reflect on certain situations in life. Many studies have shown that they are beneficial in improving well-being too!
I am sure we have some individuals who enjoy reading quotes and applying them to their lives. We could add our favourite quotes to this thread as often as possible. You can add multiple times a day or even just when you remember to do so, whatever works best for you! :)
I will start with one of my favourite quotes:
"The good life is a process, not a state of being. It is a direction not a destination".- Carl Rogers. The reason why I find this quote meaningful is that often we want to reach the end result of what we are doing, and we forget the process is just as important! This might be applied to studies, finishing a project, cleaning our room/homes or finishing our endless to-do list!
Please share your favourite quotes or even one you've found meaningful in the moment and what they mean to you.
Disclaimer: below were NOT thought of by me but I love them.
”What’s the day without a little night? Stay strong.”
”Reach for the moon, and if you fail you’ll land among the stars.”
The mention of night like this is so peaceful for me, and especially the second is so encouraging. I’ve heard the second swapped around but I prefer the main goal to be the moon, also because there are so many stars - so many opportunities.

Beautiful! I love those! It shows you that there always has to be balance in life and motivates you to keep trying even at first if you feel like you do not succeed.
“We're all worth it, man. We're all worth millions of planets and stars and galaxies and universes.” a quote by the late River Phoenix .
No matter how much invaluable and unimportant you think you are, you are just as alive as everyone else, you have the gift of life therefore you matter and your life matters just as much as anyone else.
@sedra004 I agree that a live person is an amazing miracle.
I am more than I imagine I am.
You can lead a horse to a well but you can't force them to drink water.
As per my personal experience, it is possible to conduct therapy to help a client suffering from a mental illness but in the end, they have to have a mindset that they want to get better. They must put in some effort themselves to finish whatever task or homework is given to them. Only then, the therapy may be beneficial regardless of how good you are as a psychologist or psychiatrist.

Make hay while the sunshines.
I interpret this to mean get help while you are feeling good to develop strategies for how to cope with challenging situations. When they come up, as they always seem to for me., you are more prepared to meet them.
