Hi Online Therapy Community!
As we all know, kindness can make the world feel a better place and make us feel happier. Kindness also increases stress and increases well-being. Kindness is choosing something that helps you or others around you. It can be the little things such as giving up a seat or sending a thoughtful card to someone.
Health benefits of kindness:
- Helping others feel good about themselves
- It helps to keep life in perspective and to be able to see the bigger picture
- It causes a ripple effect and increases more kindness to happen around us
- The more you are able to be kind to others, you are able to model this to be kind to yourself
So please share a random act of kindness you have done or someone has done for you. It can even be something you intend to do!

I started a conversation with a clerk about a place they used to go when younger. They really lit up talking about it. It seemed to brighten their day.

Kindness is always appreciated when extended and often returned.
I run a weight loss group with some lovely ladies many are in their 60 to 70s who have mobility issues getting to the group or paying for the program. Some are isolated in their communities and their only social is this little group.
For one lady who cannot pay I anonymously pay for her. When we had a year end dinner due to health reasons same lady could not make it and she was devastated … so at the meal we called her and yelled we miss you! She started to cry … overwhelmed because we thought of her. We also brought a dinner afterwards for her and her husband and went for a visit.
To share some fun and kindness we started a program Bringing Sexy Back with boas and fun music and sexy was actually being healthy moving move functionality and eating the rainbow of fruits and vegetables … they loved the fun, the laughter, had a very fun discussion of what sexy is over a lifetime and no matter your age you always appreciate kindness. When I see them out I ask them are they bringing sexy back today? We have a laugh and a chat. 💕💕💕💕💕
