A new leaf on a plant I’ve been growing that’s struggling!
The way sometimes my cat curls up to nap and he covers his lil face with his paw because the room is too bright!
Someone’s face when I walk across a room just to give them an unexpected compliment (especially men. If a man is a safe space obvs- give our men some genuine wee compliments, it’s so rare I think. I once told a regular who’s a social worker that his shirt was an incredible color for him and his smile lit up my day, I make sure to compliment him often)
Connecting with someone who is just so genuine and kind, either here on 7cups or out in the world. Seriously, give the lil compliments and spread the joy and you find the most lovely people.
Randomly asking people what their favorite dinosaur is, carrying around dinosaur stickers, and handing them a sticker of their favorite dinosaur. Especially other grown adults.

speaking of dinosaurs, I once spoke to a man who adores Dragons. He spoke so fondly of them. Sounded like a woman he’s speaking about. Men akways never fail to surprise me. They have things they like in life tgat no ine can imagine. Strange creatures 😜
That’s another to add to the list. Hearing someone talk about something they truly love or are deeply passionate about- give me all your long rants about the nuances of coastal ecosystems, your progress in Elden ring, Pokémon lore, your favorite historical period, and the kind of fish you keep in your aquarium. I don’t care what it is, or if I can understand what you’re saying on a very deep level. I love to hear those simple nerdy things that put a spark in someone’s eye.
