stuck or not helpful
sometimes i feel like i am stuck when someone is not talking just saying i am anxious or overwhelmed i just want to learn how to deal with such situations
@Baba8685 I am sorry you feel challenged by anxiety. It is not a simple matter to just stop it. I find I have to try looking at things from different perspectives and talk it out with a listener. https://www.7cups.com/BrowseListeners/
Hope you get the support you are looking for.
I said when someone said "I am anxious" i am not talking about myself
@Baba8685 I hear you.
When someone is anxious all the time my first impulse is to get them to a psychiatrist or have a doctor prescribe a medication or get them to sign up with a therapist.
If they are not open to that, then I have to change my reactions so that I do not say things that trigger them. Mindfulness helps me by teaching me to watch my thoughts and take a time out if angry or irritated thoughts are coming up. When I first started working on this I did not see how angry I was but the more I observed and noted whenever I was irritated, the more I saw that I was a contributing factor. Not the main cause but I was adding fuel to the fire.
Here is a link that helps introduce mindfulness for caregivers that sounds like it might help to learn for you to refrain from getting over reactive https://youtu.be/hahvUXwTXE4 ir this may help https://youtu.be/4MwDQU47dzI
