Food from around the World

Hi Everyone ❤️! Today’s topic is going to be about foods from places other than where we are from. Different countries have different cuisines and each one can be delicious depending on what foods you like.

  • What food/cuisine from another country has the food you really like?
  • Provide descriptions and/or pictures

For me, Korean cuisine is a food that I really like. What I like about this cuisine is its use of sesame seeds in their dishes. They use all different kinds of sesame seeds such as brown, black, and white sesame seeds. To illustrate, a few weeks ago, I had a dish called Korean Barbecue Chicken and I loved it because the chicken was covered in sesame seeds. Here is a picture of what I ate:

What about you? I look forward to hearing and/or seeing your favorite dishes from around the world!

@Desmynn6789 lovely have not had sesame seeds on food for a while.

I made vegetable chili with onions, shredded carrots, cabbage, vegetarian sausage, tofu, garbanzo beans, garlic and onion powder, chili powder, cumin, and chopped tomatoes. It is gone but this is a similar picture

  • What food/cuisine from another country has the food you really like? I love spicy food and since I'm vegetarian (more vegan actually) I love love love lots of different vegetables. Some of my favorite cuisines are Indian, Thai, Italian but to be honest it's hard for me to really choose since I find good recipes in most cuisines all over the world.
  • Provide descriptions and/or pictures: This is one of my favorite meals, a tofu curry, yummy! 😀

@Desmynn6789 Food is one of the easiest ways to discover different cultures and traditions. Every country has its own flavors, ingredients, and unique dishes that tell a story about its people. I especially enjoy exploring different restaurant menus and discovering new options, such as the restaurant menu guide, when looking for familiar favorites or something different to try.

Usually talking about my food preferences is kinda a scary thing for me. But I'm trying to over coke that fear so hear it goes!

If we had to pick a food from another country we'd pick sushi! From Japan, But specifically the specialty sushi rolls. Ones with shrimp tempura or steak or cream cheese or avacado- sushi is one of my favorite things and one of the few foods I'll eat left overs of. I don't like sushi from gas stations and such though. Only the specialty rolls, because they end up tasting so good. I have this silly rule for myself where I only eat sushi with chopsticks. But also I really like how with sushi it's so many flavors and things in one bite- and a sushi roll doesn't seem big but its actually a really filling meal! And you usually get your meat and vegetables and carbs all in one!

(I can't figure out how to include a photo so sorry for the inconvenience - -;)
