What Lessons Has COVID-19 Brought You?
Hi everyone,
I hope you are all well and safe and looking after yourself and those around you.
Often even in the darkest of times, we find a lesson in our suffering. We grow through the pain we've experienced. We've been through a stage of collective suffering, and we are still going through this. It has overwhelmed the entire universe and has also brought us together. It's not often that we are going through the same issue together in life.
I have learned to connect more with loved ones because time is passing us by, and it can be a distraction, but when we learn to be present and take the time to communicate with our loved ones, it's so rewarding. I have also spent the time reflecting more on the increased time at home. I also feel grateful for the reduced air pollution and increased kindness; I think I've felt people really connect more during the fragility of life.
The more an individual is aware of the delicate nature of life, the easier it becomes to approach each moment with a higher level of sensitivity. Vulnerability elicits kindness, authenticity, joy, and the most honest, loving form of expression. The fragility of life serves as a constant reminder for the need to live in the present moment. - Russell Forsyth
Can we please share what lessons COVID-19 has brought into your life?
@LisaMeighanMBPsS Lessons...It taught me how much was I ignoring myself since past years. It taught me to be strong in face of adversity and being weak won't solve any problems. It taught my human relation values. It taught me to be patient. ❤
I've been thinking a lot about what others think of me. Like not in a superficial way but thinks people have just noticed about me. And the overthinker in me of course noticed that too but I never realized that other people would notice these things about me too. I guess I realized that others do care and appreciate you as you are.
One lesson that COVID-19 taught me is that I don’t need to be around toxic people. During the two lockdowns I’ve experienced I realized that keeping a distance from certain people and situations has made me feel much more at peace and content. It sort of makes me feel stupid that I was too afraid to leave a certain toxic environment because I had hope that I would eventually be accepted by these people. I guess I should probably come to terms with the fact that it’s probably never going to happen and that I am better off without people like them in my life.
The biggest lesson that Covid 19 has taught me is that I need to invest in myself more. It has taught me that it is ok to make myself a priority when it comes to taking care of myself. I work hard to make sure that my wife and kids are taken care then I would fit in whatever time I had to focus on me for a little bit. Now I am giving myself more time and I'm not feeling guilty because it hasn't taken time from my family. I have dedicated time for self learning, routine exercise, and picking up hobbies.
@Coolzebra0419 that sounds so good you are doing self care. I see self care as making the quality of my time with friends and family better.
This time has taught me that I don't have to do everything at once. It's like I've been so overwhelmed with what I had to do that I could never really relax. It's okay to take a break sometimes and take things slowly.
Well I lunt that life sucks that noone likes me that I'm stupid and annoying and life is a load of rubbish and I'm.dperessed and I can't shut up and I am annoying litual annoying
@jellybean13fam I am sorry you feel down.
I had an internal critic too who never tired of putting me down. But I started ignoring them and they got so bored they left.
Now the glass is half full, not half empty. Same glass, same life, new attitude.
@soulsings Nuh-Uh!! So If I stopped talking to the voices..they could go away?
@enthusiasticTortoise6681 I think the hardest thing for people to encounter is empty space.

Hello... I've learned not to trust the government narrative.
Taught me that life sucks and I'm depressed and stupid
@jellybean13fam
not every realization is a break through, sometimes is just a break down
