What Lessons Has COVID-19 Brought You?
Hi everyone,
I hope you are all well and safe and looking after yourself and those around you.
Often even in the darkest of times, we find a lesson in our suffering. We grow through the pain we've experienced. We've been through a stage of collective suffering, and we are still going through this. It has overwhelmed the entire universe and has also brought us together. It's not often that we are going through the same issue together in life.
I have learned to connect more with loved ones because time is passing us by, and it can be a distraction, but when we learn to be present and take the time to communicate with our loved ones, it's so rewarding. I have also spent the time reflecting more on the increased time at home. I also feel grateful for the reduced air pollution and increased kindness; I think I've felt people really connect more during the fragility of life.
The more an individual is aware of the delicate nature of life, the easier it becomes to approach each moment with a higher level of sensitivity. Vulnerability elicits kindness, authenticity, joy, and the most honest, loving form of expression.The fragility of life serves as a constant reminder for the need to live in the present moment. - Russell Forsyth
Can we please share what lessons COVID-19 has brought into your life?
I've learnt to live my life like it's my last. To trear everyone I meet with kindness cause you might not know when you'll see them again. And to appreciate people's presence in my life because life is short
@NiceVictoria
That is so insightful and beautiful! Thank you for sharing!
it's taught me to appreciate the amount of work my parents do for me and my well-being
The lesson that Covid taught was that it's great to be alone because you can take care of yourself. It also taught me that family time is wonderful.

I think we've all had lots of self-reflection time in 2020/21. That is definitely a positive aspect of the pandemic :)
Well covid19 hace came everyone's life with many positive as well as negative aspects..pandemic taught us that no virus/infection/treatment/vaccination is beyond any barriers. There's no boundaries in nature's journey..!! Its taught us that mean of FAMILY which we left behind after being a member of SOCIAL MEDIA FAMILY.. it showed us who really cares for self ones and for for others..who are really kind hearted and ready to help in anyway possible. Its made many people weak mentally.. physically... financial..but also showed us some human angels who worked for everyone helplessly whom we call them covid warriors.. its was a self realizing pandemic period which has many lessons to be learned from. Many lost their family..their loved ones..left with zero fund..zero figure..jobless..helpless..but still fighting with the odds to survive in a masked life..in kits..all because they have not lost the hope that one day world will be back to normal..will be back to daily routine..back to trades round the world..!! Covid has been a teacher!! Especially showing that we can be technologically be much sounded but still its nature who always wins.. So we should care for nature and stop playing with it..!! 🙏🙏
The biggest lesson this pandemic has taught me is to focus more on myself, to keep myself as a top priority. It had made me look at myself in a whole different way , made me believe in myself. It has even taught me that life can get pretty nasty sometimes but we gotta live with it .
@thoughtfulWind2473 yes self care is so important.
That people really don't like coughing
@enthusiasticTortoise6681 I think that the reason people react to coughing because that is one of the symptoms of Covid and people may feel they have to stay away in case someone has the virus.
@thoughtfulWind2473
That is so insightful :) Thank you for sharing!

YES. Self-love FIRST *If you can't love yourself how the hell are you going to love someone else*
The biggest thing this pandemic has taught me was who your TRUE friends are. My parents & I are not vaccinated, nor do we agree with the mask rule, but we abide by it.
It seem like there is such a worlds divide on this matter, even under my own roof. My patents & I only spend repetative time with a handful of people because they are open-minded that we do not choosee to get vaccinated.
On the flipside, my boyfriend's family is extremely terrified & I cannot see a baby that will hopefully in the not so distant future become my nephew by marriage. Nor can i see MY OWN nirces & nephew because my brother in law is terrified & he has put the fear into my own sisters head. So we cannot see my own nieces & nephews
To be honeat I am MORE sad I will not get to see the new baby, rather than my own nieces & nephew. The ONLY way i can see this baby is masked & 6ft apart--- NO WAY, I'm not some sort of animal. If I'm marrying into a family that doesn't accept ME for ME, then why would I want to marry into this family at all................. That's the tough choice I have to make.
I am extremely saddened over all this separation & descrimination Covid has caused. :'(
Ya, I dont really like having asthma. makes idiots cough
@enthusiasticTortoise6681 sorry that you cough with asthma. That must be uncomfortable.
@soulsings
Yeah, Soulsings, i dont want to make others uncomfortable b/c of my coughing.
I learned that there is no time like the present to start something new. Even though now with work and school coming back it may seem like we dont have time for new things but we do!
@sunnydays2729
It takes deep insight to understand that having time or not often depends on how we see it, what priority we attach to things we want to do but always postpone or even never do is.
This pandemic has taught me to care for others, to value time spent with loved ones, to be grateful for everything. I spent the whole pandemic at home and even rarely went to the store. An old neighbor lives next to me who couldn't even find medicine (tecfidera if I'm not mistaken), so I bought them online for her. It's really scary so I'm glad there is a vaccine now and people are being vaccinated with it
@jjessj181
It was very kind of you helping that person to get their medicine. I believe the pandemic brought people together, helping each other like you did.
Getting vaccinated will be a great relief for many people!
