What is good about the age you are in your life right now?

All stages of life have their ups and downs. When I was young I focused on getting a good job to make a living and become financially independent. There were stressful times but also joyful times. Now that I'm at an older age and not being employed I truly enjoy the time I can take to follow my passions.

How about you?

Hmm well as a 21 year old I would say that although certain times I screw up, it's good to know that I got a lot of time to grow and in able to make some mistakes because I have so much time. I'm at a point where I gotta just get outta my comfort zone and fall a few times so when I get up I can learn from it

I like your mindset! Nothing is worse than punishing ourselves for the mistakes we make, they are part of the learning process.

I find I can pursue meaningful goals in my life now that I have time and the motivation.

I can very well relate to what you said about pursuing meaningful things now that you have time in age, it's the same with me.

@amiablePeace77 yes this is like my second career. It is not based on making as much money as I can, it is based on cultivating kindness. That is a lasting form of happiness.

@amiablePeace77 I really love this post because I don't usually take the time to reflect on my age and all the wonderful aspects of it! I am in my mid-twenties and it's been a difficult transition after college, but I'm grateful for all the opportunities that I have at my hands. I am spending a lot of time with friends, but also hustling for myself to have a good future down the line. I am just trying to enjoy everyday and make the most of my life!

Believe it or not, age in essence is a mindset, it may seem unsurmountable but it is what you make it.

@BrokenWingsThatFlew

I hear you BrokenWingsThatFlew. I do not feel at all like being at the age I am mentally but much younger. Sometimes though the body tells us "Hey, you're not a spring chicken anymore, take it easy" 😃

I'm in my mid 30's and my birthday is coming up 😊 The best part about my age is that I feel like I am young enough to still be physical and yet wise enough to let go of the small stuff and enjoy the best parts of life 🌺

@Espejo good response

That reminds me of a book I had "Don't Sweat the Small Stuff"

@amiablePeace77 I am enjoying my age, and I feel wisdom is birthing and taking her roots. I am learning not to react emotionally to everything very laid back, placing God at the forefront of my life, keeping prayer at the center, setting boundaries, and valuing my peace. Finally, stop explaining myself; my "no's" are complete sentences. I am enjoying life to its fullest.

I am 56 and plan to end in my early 70's as that is what happens to males in my family. There is no special privilege's to getting older after 21.

All You have is declining health and mental capacity to look forward to and all the humiliations that comes with it.

P.S. You get to go to a lot of funerals for friends and family too.

@Gettingbettertoday

I can only imagine how sad it feels not seeing any beauty in becoming older. When our bodies age certain things become harder for sure and there can be a lot of sorrow to see others leaving us. However, it's also wonderful to experience the benefits of aging, like no work stress, having more time, maybe seeing new members being born into the family. Tbh I feel that now where I'm one of the older folks 😊 I have the best time of my life. I hope that coming here will help you to find more happiness in your life and please remember not everyone in a family goes through the same thing. Exceptions are possible.
