What was the best thought I had today?
It does not have to be an earth shaking thought. If can be really simple but recognizing our best thoughts validates them and reinforces them so as they are repeated, they grow stronger and more numerous.

What was the best thought I had today?
My best thought was, there was follow through today. A promise made to me was a promise kept. There were times it didn't work out this way but today, when it really mattered it turned out right.
Also, my little sister video called me. She lives 9 hours away. I miss her. She showed me all her great plants growing and talked and walked me through her backyard, all the plans for their renewal ceremony.
@EmbStitcher33 I am so glad, that your sister called you.
I hope you had a nice time, chatting with her.
I am so sorry she live so fair away.
I looked through the glass window of the tallest tower in the world (Burj Khalifa, Dubai) and saw how a desert had transformed over a short period of time into a metropolis. If we humans are capable of conceiving and creating such wonders with earth, imagine and believe how many minds we can transform and empower to rise above their circumstances. Peace.

The best thought I had today was the thought of hugging my long distance significant other in person soon
@DakotaRose Loved your comment.

@ThadSterling aw that's the sweetest thing!
@ThadSterling Good for you.
@soulsings That my hair pin looks very nice on me.
@EverywhereEverything Glad to here this.
Tomorrow, CPS will be discussing transitioning my little one back to me, FULL custody.
Long story short, I called the cops on alcoholic ex, they took our kid away and into temporary custody with ex’s [negligent] sister for close to a year.
But little one is coming home so SOON I am ecstatic!
I also found a place for us to live, just waiting to hear back.
I got off work early today, and have been chilling for a little while. I feel content.
Going to put in some work on my car, I actually plan on trading it in for a hybrid car soon. :)
Hello, just wanted to give a small update.
The meeting went...Okay.
I mean, I'm definitely getting my son back soon, which is AWESOME! The only negative is having to deal with ex's dysfunctional/toxic family... Ex's sister requested to (purposely) prolong the transition back to me, but the transition team shut her down and said the sooner the better.
Looking for some advice on that.
Just to give a long story short, the reason why I say my ex's sister is negligent, is because I see my son with scabs, unkempt nails, and his clothes stained EVERYTIME they send him back to me for a visit. They also keep (purposely) packing his girl cousin's clothes in his bag one too many times. They hardly wash his clothes, and I used to give them supplies for diapers, wipes,and gave ALL his clothes to him, that they'd leave me with nothing. They even kept his custom made clothes made by my family...They get free money too from CPS to take care of him, but haven't. They give his toys to their daughter and said "Oh, she wanted to try it" and other crappy excuses....so yeah...that's what I'm dealing with. Not to mention, their disciplinary methods are more like punishment/torture...They yell at him and pin him down[seen it]. Told CPS this, they didn't do anything about it...Even my ex, who I'm indifferent to, complains about his sister and her parenting methods....
My question is: what should I say when ex's sister keeps "asking"[more like demanding...] that I let my son stay in contact with them? I wanted to say "that's up to my ex", as he still has visits with son. I'm actually...okay with those visits... since he's a decent father, just a terrible partner. Just no visits around abusive, alcoholic paternal grandfather of my son...nor greedy/negligent ex's sister if it's in terms of either of them trying to "babysit" my son....
CPS is unhelpful in all this, and think ex's sister is "helpful" and that ex is a "changed man", even though he almost strangled me to death so... I'm at a loss... I'm forced to contact both parties. I'm stranded in this state/city with only siblings here, no other family... My attorney has been OK but not really helping me get to where I want to be, maybe I'm not asking the right questions...
Sorry, last update!
I set my own boundaries and I'm quite content with myself on that.

The best thought I had today was about my chosen family: “We chose each other.” ♥️
@TheAutumnWitch Love your thought, my friend.
The best thought I had today was that I’m always looking out for others and trying to help them
When I was on a bike ride in the morning I looked up at the beautiful azure sky with white fluffy clouds, tall green trees stretching to the heavens that covered the landscape, and breathed in the fresh crisp sunrise into my lungs and heart, grateful to be alive.
@Terraforming I am so glad you love being alive.
@soulsings I realized how important it is to put energy and emotion into what we say or write.
I wanted to write to someone "No one like you ever" but instead the text that got sent was " No one likes you ever"
But because I've been concerned about what emotion and energy I put while writing those words, it avoided any misunderstanding or drama.
Thank you @soulsings for creating this thread to share what we have.
