What was the best thought I had today?

It does not have to be an earth shaking thought. If can be really simple but recognizing our best thoughts validates them and reinforces them so as they are repeated, they grow stronger and more numerous.

@soulsings

The best thought I had today was: "I'm grateful for my struggles. Even though they may be hard, they've helped me grow into the person I am today."

This is powerful. It shows that you were mindful in choosing a job that adds to your life instead of pulling you down.

To leave some bottled water and soda pop in a ice chest outside my front doorstep for the package delivery drivers who could need it during this record-breaking high temperature blast out here.

O wow, that's so thoughtful. Thank you for doing that. I saw a video on YouTube of a delivery driver caught on a front door video camera, passing out. He recovered and went on. The home owner saw what happened and checked on him. He was okay. It's wonderful to see people caring like this for their fellow man.

@Tillysoper14 I am so glad your best friend forgave you.

Forgiving some one, is hard to do sometimes, but it is the right thing to do, in my opinion.

@soulsings

Today I had the weird thought that having tidy to-dos. calendars, etc, might lead me to a false sense of completion, of accomplishment, and calm, that might conspire to actually do the things. That a bit of chaos and anxiety might be motivating. For example, to do some task in order to throw that pesky post-it annoying me at sight in front of me.

By the way, how can you make that nice notification with the title "Check In" on top?

"💙 Check-In

What was the best thought you had today?"

I do subcom check-ins, and the notifications result like:

"You were tagged in a forum post

What was the best..."

Which is much less effective for engaging the community in something as crucial as check-ins.

Kind regards!

Marcelo

I just joined this app last night. Instead of posting my situation I went ahead and spent a couple hours reading through others and responding to those I could relate to and feel I can offer support for. Slept less than usual and with a toddler I am tired. Typically when I’m not well rested I’m just blah. But today I thought how great I feel for sacrificing my sleep to provide support to others in need. I did something that made me feel good for myself not for my child or husband. It’s been awhile since I’ve done anything that brought me intrinsic reward for me as me and not as a mama or a partner. It’s very refreshing for my soul.

Welcome to our community! Nice that you joined us. I hope you will find the support you need here. Please do not hesitate to reach out if you need any information or support.

It's a wonderful feeling knowing to have helped someone and I'm glad it made you feel good as a person. Having a toddler can be quite demanding, I hope you will get more rest and sleep soon.
