Trauma Support Check-in March 20th - 26th
Greetings everyone, welcome to the new week. :)
This week's topic is support. We all need it, and a lot of us give it as well. Here are a few questions about support, but also feel free to share how you are doing...
1. How do you want/need to be supported?
2. Who has been a support in your life?
3. Who are you supporting/want to support in your life?
@WriteToHeal42
Question 1- How do you want/need to be supported?
for me, i need someone to just sit there and let me let out my emotions, i need someone to be patient and kind, that helps a lot for me.
2. Who has been a support in your life?
I have been the main biggest support in my life. I have also been very blessed with my mother, big sister @chevy81 and my amazing lulu @lueurspace
3. Who are you supporting/want to support in your life?
i want to support anyone i come across in life who needs help/support, i want to be there for my family, friends and all of the ones who have taken care of me for these last 20 years 💛
Hi @KrystalRose01,
I hear you, having someone hold space for us to listen to our emotions patiently and with kindness can be very powerful.
I'm glad to hear you acknowledging what an important support you are for yourself, and to hear that you have a good support system besides that in your family and on 7cups.
It's very loving and kind for you to want to support any and everyone in need who come across your path in life. Wanting to give back like that is a sign of a grateful heart. ❤️

2. A lot of people have supported me in various ways, even when they weren't aware that they were.
3. I want to be there for my friends and family. Maybe sometimes others who need me somehow.
Hi @Torean,
I hear you, it sounds like quality time is one of your love languages, the way you feel loved and supported most. Having your anxiety not triggered sounds important to you as well.
Yes, it's amazing to realize how much support we have over our lives, even when they don't always know that they are supportive.
It's very loving and kind for you to want to be there for family, friends and others who need it. ❤️
Hi @nordurnStar,
That's good to be thinking about - we know best what we want, and if we can provide that for ourselves it can be a powerful support. I'm glad to hear you're finding yourself improving and knowing and meeting your needs, such as giving yourself the time and space to feel sad as you work through challenges.
I'm glad to hear you have your husband, family, and ladies at work to support you as well. Best of luck in expanding your social circle. ❤️
I am trying to get control of my life. I don’t want to lead a life that is all about these bad memories running it.
Hi, thanks for this thread
This is how I speak, I write as it flows in my head. Words I dare to speak aloud.
I have several 7cup supporters and they are the world to me. I live in an area of isolation and have no family here for suetter.pport or for anything. I have friends that have not been there since we moved so far away. I found it hard to talk to anyone but I am getting b
