Vaisakhi Check-In and Celebrations 💝

In the wake of the vibrant festival of Vaisakhi, I'm filled with excitement and joy, and I wanted to extend an invitation to all of you to share in the spirit of this recent occasion. Vaisakhi, also known as Baisakhi, holds immense cultural and religious significance for the Indian community, particularly for Sikhs. It commemorates the formation of the Khalsa Panth, the Sikh brotherhood, in 1699 by Guru Gobind Singh Ji.
Background:
Vaisakhi falls on the 13th or 14th of April every year and marks the beginning of the Sikh New Year. It is celebrated with great zeal and fervor, not only in India but also in Sikh communities around the world. The festival holds multifaceted meanings—it signifies the harvest festival in the agricultural calendar of Punjab, the birth of the Khalsa, and the remembrance of the values of courage, equality, and selflessness taught by Guru Gobind Singh Ji.

I am part of the Trauma support community. as is the OP of this thread. I'm just wondering if this is meant to be here, or if it can be copied to the Around The World community or maybe even in the Religion category of Communities?
??? I'm sure there are (or could be) some people for whom Vaisakhi and the celebrations around it are or were traumatic, but it seems if it is to have the proper celebration ... it seems this post would work better in another section of our lovely forum.

Hello, I appreciate you bringing up your concerns. I am a forum supporter for the PTSD/Trauma forum and often write holiday/celebration/religious day check-in and prompts posts, like for Christmas, Halloween, and others. Usually, there is a lot of engagement, but Vaisakhi is not as well-known of a holiday for the people who use this platform, which explains why there are not as many replies.😊

In general, as forum leaders, we have a holiday calendar and are invited to write posts for all the holidays on the list. The list is not complete though but when we hear from another holiday, we'll add it to the list.
I think it's helpful to have posts like that in the trauma support community, on one hand because holidays can be especially stressful to people with a traumatic past and it's good for them to have a space to share their worries and experiences. On the other hand, I think it's also good to have these posts to invite people to engage, learn from each other and build a sense of community.
