My Feelings (tw: description of SA)
I was SA-ed for around a year, at ages 10-11. I cannot remember concrete details about a lot of it, just small flashes really. Some days I feel like I have no right to be upset, as it was just some grinding, grabbing my ass, and taking my panties off once. Other days I want to cry about it and cuddle my boyfriend and just believe everything will be okay. But will it ever get better? Nothing can really change what happened. God I feel so alone, even with my bf's support. He does so much for me. I love him more than anything. I hope he never has to understand how I feel.

Hey there ❤️ I want you to know that you never have to justify your experience. You do have a right to be upset, because it clearly really affected you.
Recovery is a journey that is full of ups and downs. Some days you'll be able to feel better and almost forget about it, while other days it will stick closely to you and weigh on your heart. While that might feel discouraging, know that each time you process your hurt, you move one step closer to a better place. Not a single bit of your effort and tears is wasted.
And you're right that nothing can change what happened. But there are things that you *can* change. You're capable of making your own decisions and taking care of yourself. You can choose to learn to better appreciate the things you do have, like your bf and other people or things that have helped you. You can practice more self-care, and let go of things that are making you feel unhappy. You don't need anyone's validation to go out and make the choices you know are right for you
Please remember that you are truly not alone in any of this. I too was SA-ed as a child, and so were many members of this community. We stand with you and we'll always be here for you ❤️
