Hello Friends,

My name is Abby and my ex boyfriend sexually assaulted me and was emotionally and mentally abusive. Theres a list of things that he did to me that I haven’t been able to fully process but have made my life 100xs harder to move forward with. He humiliated me (dry humping me in public), crossed my boundaries (made out with me in front of friends and family and wouldnt stop even when i told him to stop), and made me feel worthless (called me fat while i was trying on clothes lol). He made me feel useless and weak in the relationship and I hate him for it. He toom away my spark he took away my will to live. he took everything away from me and it’s increasingly harder and harder for me to move on with my life because I dont feel like my life is worth living anymore.

@l8ersk8er6 I can only imagine what you're going through, but please, remember that no one has the power to determine your value as a person, let alone take that away from you. What you're feeling right now is normal and valid after all you've been through, but don't forget that feeling something doesn't always mean it's true. Your emotions are messing with you, and it's all his fault, he did all he could to damage your sense of worth, but your worth as a human being and as a woman is still there, even if it's hard for you to see it. What he did qualifies him, not you. His behavior define what kind of person he is, and say nothing about who you are. You're struggling, but you haven't given up on yourself yet, and this makes you strong. This alone is proof that you are a much better person than he wants you to believe.

He's your past, and the future is yours entirely. It will be what you make of it. He hasn't won, you can still win by taking care of yourself and trusting your future. Even if you don't see it yet, never forget that your chance is out there for you. Your body is your, your life is too, and such a small men can't take any of that away from you. Take care of yourself, seek support if you can and if you feel like you need, and always remember you deserve to feel good. You're entitled to happiness, however long it takes.
