Trauma?

Hello everyone,

I’m not sure, if this actually might be a trauma or not, but it’s definitely something that has been weighing me down and making me feel insecure and unsafe.

I am 15 years old, and since a very young I’ve had, older men do things..or say things. And i developed this fear, for men. I know not all men are like that and it’s not always men, but I can’t control it, I get severe panic attacks when I’m left alone with someone and I cannot be in a normal relationship since I keep ruining things out of some fear that I can’t fully figure out.

I feel pathetic telling this, i haven’t told anyone about this yet. I’ve been struggling more lately and just needed to tell someone.

Thanks for listening💗

@neatPlane6212 there's nothing wrong, pathetic or humiliating about what you're feeling. This is a normal and legitimate reaction to something horrifying that happened to you. You're not "broken", this is simply your body and mind trying to protect you.
Of course, this can take a huge toll on you in simple everyday life situations and be a burden when you think of living your whole life like this. Luckily, you can seek support that can help you go through this and learn how to deal with all the things that you (legitimately!) feel. You can try to find a support center for victims of gender based violence near you, or you can look here, it's a list of resources divided by country as linked in the "Women's issues" resource section here at 7 Cups:
I don't about where you live, but in lots of countries these resources are free and very careful about privacy.
Of course, you can decide what's the best path for you, but don't forget that additional support is there if you need it. You don't have to deal with this alone, lots of women have felt and are feeling the same.
I wish you the best!
