Flying
You can fly to wherever you wanna be, Raven. But you don't have to fly if your wings are tired. You can stay here in your nest and rest them as long as you want to. 
I wonder if the raven on your spruce had the same thoughts as yours when it decided to stay at the tree and be by your side.

Hey there. Thanks for the posts. My friend passed away last night. She and I were sitting out on the deck @ her house, looking at the moon. Almost everyone else had gone inside.She'd been quiet for a bit. Vit that wasn't unusual. I looked over and my dog was just ...staring intently, then went and leaned up against her chair.
She opened her eyes when i took her hand; smiled and said, " I'm glad it's you." She looked up at the moon with such pure joy in her face, then settled back into her chair with a contented sigh.
Still holding my hand, she let her eyes close. There was a stillness, then, and if I hadn't been holding her hand...feeling her pulse, I'd have thought she was gone.
Then she chuckled a bit, and said in a rather pleased tone, "Oh. Yes. You should do that."
She squeezed my hand, and said, "I think you're wonderful". And then, she left.❤

OMG that is the most touching thing I have ever read. My condolences on the loss of your friend. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you Red! She was such a special person, and I am so fortunate to have known her & to have been there with her as she left. ...Now I just have to figure out what she thought it was that I should do! 💞

Feeling ...as if I should go back into hiding. That my voice holds no power. My presence no value. That i must learn to be content as invisible.... my survival has served...no purpose. My talents are bones in the dust.

That's so sad, heartbreaking and touching. How bittersweet...
I'm really sorry for your loss. She seemed like an amazing person. It must be hard for you and you probably miss her a lot.
Despite all, I'm happy that the two of you could be together until the end and that she left peacefully with a smile.
Also... She was right, Raven. You're wonderful. Keep those words and her smile in your heart
Treasure the memories of the good times you spent together and she'll always be by your side.

Hello, I am doing well. Had a good conversation with my son. Took the dog to the river, which is flooding, so I was a little nervous if he would decide to swim. Finished the evening with a few Tony Robbins videos on youtube. How are you doing?
