Saw a Swan on a partially melted lake on my drive North. It's a bit early for swans; though of course I'm happy to see one!😍❣

Also saw quite a few mountain goats on the way up, and at least one Raven wverywhere I've been today.

Yesterday I walked with my dog through a birch forest, with snow on the ground and a stream flowing, black and clear and cold nearby. It is like walking through blades of light and life- rich, kohl markings on papery rainbow skin.

There were ravens flying overhead in pairs and threes and singly. Some talking aloud; some winged conversation with the air.

I'm there again this morning, with mountains sketched in, just above the tree-tops: white upon white upon gray and scratches of blue. The sky rises, apricot and lemon, with a breath of white; expanding upward and outward like softest, palest blue thought.
