Emotional pain
Physical pain hurts less than this.. Im in so much emotional pain trying to deal with these holidays.. The memories.. The grief for my friend and constantly trying to keep myself cheerful for the residents I care for.. I honestly don't know how to survive these holidays.. Im hurting so much with no one to turn to..

The holidays can be a difficult time. They remind us of people we have lost because we wish they were with us. We remember ourselves as we were in the last holiday season and it always either seems happy and too far away or much too recent and similar. In this time you must remember what you DO have and what personal growth you have achieved. Spend some time doing something nice for yourself. Maybe spend time with others feeling alone this holiday season. Along with all that, we are here for you at 7cups 24/7 and we want to help you feel like you have a place. Stay cozy, stay warm, and stay optimistic :)

Sorry to hear that you are suffering during this holiday season. Yes, sometimes emotional pain can feel even worse than physical pain. A relentless anguish and agony, that just wont go away. You have lost a dear friend, and are now dealing with the painful memories. You cant see it now, but it will get better, in time the pain will ease.
Here at 7 Cups, I am sure that many members/ listeners are also struggling with this holiday season, so you are not alone. It can be draining to pretend to be in the Christmas spirit when inside you feel as if you are falling apart.
I know that you feel alone, with no one to turn to. However, the traumatic experiences community/7 Cups community are here for you. Feel free to use this space to pour your heart out, to vent etc. We are here to support you, thank you for reaching out to us.
