Will I ever make a sound
I feel like no one has ever heard me scream. Maybe I didn't scream loud enough.
Hit, kick, punch. Don't make a sound. No one to tell. No where to turn.
Did I ever make a sound? Maybe I didn't scream loud enough.
Time kept passing and nothing changed. Darkness only grew and has held captive in silent shame.
Did I ever make a sound? Maybe I didn't scream loud enough.
Anixety pours down like rain drenching my mind - storms clouds of fear regressing me into a different time.
From under the safety of a quilted guard, I tightly my eyes closed and listen. Shhh! The foot steps that come no more, still sound loud as they approach. Don't breathe. Don't make a sound. Nothing there but air? But time knows no truth.
The clock falls further back... tick tock ... I want to be rocked. Time marches forward. Reality slowly reaches down and safety whispers into my ear - no one is here. It's nothing but the air.

You really should think about doing something with your writing. I hope you may consider using some of these and contribute them to our video that we wish to do, the event is running now for a week. Hi. I would Iike to help people and share. I just don't really understand "how" to do those things. I always write from my phone. I don't know how to do anything you said. But I want to help. Could you take my words and use them somehow? Thank you for saying I am a good writer. It feels scary sometimes but then it just comes out and I feel better after.

Really? Wow? Thank you! It's scary in a way. This is all so personal. I don't have my real name anywhere. And it's just my thoughts and feelings and experiences and things. I haven't ever entered a contest before. What happens? Do you have to use your real name?

You have to go to each individual contest to see what the rules are. I used my real name. Many, but not the majority used pen names instead of their real names. I met poets from all over the world at an International Poets Society convention back then and they are still going strong. Pretty wild.
It is totally scary putting yourself out there because there is the chance that someone may criticise or reject you or..... (scary, what if statement here)..Crazy thing is, there are critics out there, but you can't focus on them. Does it make you feel happy to write? You deserve to happy and doing what you enjoy. Don't let them keep you down.
I think you have talent and I'm not the only one on here recognizing it. Go for it!!! And if it makes you feel safer make up a really awesome pen name.

What is a dream?
Unbreakable HOPE - that lays inside the carriers heart.
Is it real? Whose to say? But one things for sure, it cannot be taken away!
So tucked inside, hidden deep, the dream is safe to wish and leap! To strench and tumble, and even teach - for a dream is never truly out of reach.
