So I've been told what I've been through growing up, as an adult and till now that it's amazing I'm still standing.

To sun it up.

As a kid we moved and had neighbors try to harm my pets to new ones trying to harm us to new ones harming my pets. I lived in a constant state of alertness. Faced a few gunbarrel at the hands of crazy ppl.

As an adult

I've spent 13 years looking for my horse my folks sold behind my back. (Got him home but what a bad ride)

Had 3 abusive ex's. Only one who left long lasting issues. (Physical and mental that I still to this day am trying to overcome)

Lost my first child.

Moved multiple times

Almost lost my life with my first daughter. Doctor wasn't great.

My mother is a abusive woman ex alcahholic long story there

But I have two wonderful kids. An amazing husband and his family is amazing my horse is home life is good. So why am I such a mess? The stuff now days is temporary. Why do I still have flashbacks and issues?

@rebelraven35

When people go through trauma or sometimes even drama and things settle and are in a good place some accept it and for a while it is fine then .....

the thoughts creep up waiting for the next crisis or calamity as things have finally settled but you might have the response mode waiting for something to happen

In my experience trauma needs to be processed with a therapist in order to overcome it. I have old and new trauma and I had to get help to be a functioning human again.

I'm sorry you had to go through so much @rebelraven35 without help. It's never too late to find a good therapist.

Your not alone and 7 cups has been a great support system for me.

Best to you

Trauma changes a person’s brain.
