i’m not sure if i have trauma
so, in a nutshell i suspect that i have ptsd but like, i seriously am not sure how it feels like so would anyone try sharing?
@hikariowo PTSD is not a feeling. It's a serious and complex mental illness. If you suspect you have PTSD, then you would have to consult a psychiatrist to find out for sure. It's easy to find general information about PTSD on the Internet, but you can't use the Internet to diagnose yourself, and there are no experts here at 7 Cups who can give any medical advice.
I notice in your profile you mention that you have autism, ADHD, depression, anxiety, OCD and social anxiety. Perhaps the best person to discuss possible PTSD would be the professional who diagnosed these other conditions. You could also chat with listeners here at 7 Cups about the traumatic events that you suspect might have caused PTSD.

@hikariowo Whether someone has PTSD or not, most everyone has trauma of some type. Apart from the pain that humans cause each other daily, it is traumatic to be born, to get weaned, etcetera.
If there is a desire to talk, support is available.

Why do you suspect you could have PTSD?
When it comes to mental health, there are criteria for every diagnosis which are important because sometimes there is overlap which can be misunderstood without proper discernment. Though, regardless of diagnosis, based on what you’re experiencing— there are always coping skills you can learn to manage your daily life and to vent about the challenges you face. Which are things you can do with us here. ♡
@hikariowo I wanna give a few very common examples to you. Something such as you have hallucinations or nightmares. For example, Some people who have been in a car crash and have PTSD are terrified of sitting in a car and can't even stand the horn. They might experience hallucinations about being hit by a car, even at home. What I want to say is that this is actually a mental illness, not only the feeling of fear but also some substantial physical changes. I suggest you check with your local hospital to make sure everything is going well. Finally, I sincerely hope you don't have PTSD. Thank you for your willingness to ask.
