i never knew recovery was so lonely

i walked away from my abusive relationship almost 10 months ago. and i still feel just as scared and miserable as i did back then. nobody tells you how lonely recovery is. with no one to talk to my experiences just float around in my head all day. the nightmares happen every night and i think they’re real every time, maybe because they were at one point. i just want to be able to speak again. i want to feel human again

Be very proud that you chose to leave a situation that is abusive. That is a very good start already towards healing. You chose to love yourself and that is one of the most human things to do in life. You are on the right track. Just remember to heal in your own pace. We are here for you.
