Triggers everywhere

I always hit road blocks when I try to share things that haunt me still because it seems to trigger more people than any other problem I have attempted to talk about. It’s hard for me to share with people who don’t share this trauma in common though. There seems to be so much shame and guilt with sexual abuse survivors. I don’t know but it’s a tough subject

@kindTurtle3738

I can understand how sharing may be hard.
Sharing can be scary because we never know how people may react.
Trauma is a very difficult subject, and many people don't seem to really understand the struggles you can have.
I hope you can share you story and give yourself the time to do so.
We will be here for you :)
you are a very stong human being <3

Thank you. I tried a few times and I still have to work on staying focused on one event. I don’t like referring to them as “events”. It doesn’t go well when I am not focused. But thankfully I found someone to share things with one on one. They have been great!!

@kindTurtle3738. I hear you. Sharing with someone who has no idea what it is to be a victim of sexual assault is so difficult. I don't share only here and with my therapist. I don't want ppl to look at me differently. I already feel defective without anyone's judgement to add to that . I haven't shared with my family because I don't want them to see it in me, blame me or feel traumatized in some way because of what happened to me. I don't want my ugly darkness to affect them in any way. Currently I am dealing with a painful medical condition that is a huge trigger. I felt like I was making progress but this painful affliction is dragging me backwards. Feeling cursed. 💜ABB
