Great thread to open for people to share in :)
For me, I have personally been bullied, and I have mental health concerns which I am facing. I don't feel that anyone deserves to receive poor treatment, for any reason, including have any type of a disability (mental health related, intellectual, physical, etc.).
This thread brings to mind memories I have from my school years. I have scoliosis and was treated with a Milwaukee brace that went from the top of my neck all the way down to my bottom. It was extremely uncomfortable having to wear it 23 hours a day for years. I had a teacher who made me take my brace off and share it with the class. It was horribly embarrassing and humiliating for me. The teacher was very demanding that I share it, if I had a choice I would have quickly declined. I felt awful being around my peers for years after because I felt violated.

Sorry to hear you have encountered this. People can be bullied for being "different," yet, there is no reason to feel shame for any conditions which are outside of your control.
