What is your 'comfort' movie?
A comfort movie has many different interpretations for different people.
Most commonly, Comfort movies are the ones that a person can turn to when they are having a bad day and need an escape from everything for a while. Basically, any movie that brings you comfort.
You can have many comfort movies. They also do not necessarily need to be movies, they can be TV shows as well.
What are some of your favorite comfort movies?
I often watch movies made by studio ghibli as they often have a heart warming message but also manage to make me cry in a nice way and they’re just wonderful. I especially like spirited away, howls moving castle, tales from earthsea and nausicaä and the valley of wind
Another movie that I often watch is "Spotlight." The true story about discovering abusive priests. I was born and raised in that religion. The priest in the congregation from when I was a kid going through physical abuse blamed my mother's behavior on me... so it's like seeing them get theirs.....Finally.

Wanted to clarify what I said in the above post. I wasn't happy as in getting vengeance. Well, maybe a little to be honest. But my main relief is that they were found out and now justice can be served. No child should have to go through those things. It's hard enough just to grow up in this tangled up world.
@comfortableNight4463
Romantic comedies.
"When Harry met Sally", top of the list.
@HealingTalk Nice! What are your top 5 rom-coms other than this one?
@comfortableNight4463
- Something’s Gotta Give (Jack Nicholson)
- You’ve Got Mail (also with Meg Ryan as "When Harry met Sally")
-
Sleepless in Seattle (again with Meg Ryan, you get the idea...)
- Four Weddings and a Funeral
- Amélie
@HealingTalk Thanks for these! Will definitely watch some this weekend!
@comfortableNight4463 Weirdly enough.. The Wicker Man. I know it's a horror/thriller movie but I love the beautiful scenery, the old times and especially the beautiful folk music 🎵 I've rewatched it quite a few times xD
@SpritelyStrawfruit I love horror. I should definitely watch this! Thanks for the recommendation!
Lord of the rings. Movie or Books or audio books. I have all. It's just totally another world with all action and adventure and good and evil. I have no idea how many times I watched or read the books, countless times.
There's a Korean drama called Tunnel, it's about a time travelling detective. One of my favorites. I even remember lines before actors speak, that many times I've watched it.
