What is your 'comfort' movie?
A comfort movie has many different interpretations for different people.
Most commonly, Comfort movies are the ones that a person can turn to when they are having a bad day and need an escape from everything for a while. Basically, any movie that brings you comfort.
You can have many comfort movies. They also do not necessarily need to be movies, they can be TV shows as well.

Monty python and the quest for the holy grail! Cracks me up no matter what
my top 3 are:
1) Big Fish
2) My Bestfriends Wedding
3) Flipped
@AuntMy Sounds good! What do you mostly like about them?
i enjoy the narration aspect in 1 & 3. feels like im watching a good book. 3 is a sweet, coming-of-age story and 1 is an awesome, adventure.
2 is all nostalgia. takes me back to my childhood. loads of humor. not the traditional ending, but a really important ending all the same. great lessons and a classic soundtrack with a fantastic singing scene or two.
i highly reccomend all 3! watching them feels like getting a good hug. i could (and do) watch these again and again 💛
I love the movie "Big Fish"
"Miss Potter" is a beautiful biography of Beatrix Potter, the English author of the children's book "Peter Rabbit", superbly portrayed by the amazing Renee Zellweger. A wonderful movie!!! Miss Potter
"Please Stand By" is a look at autism, emotions, and our human capacity to live in the world. Dakota Fanning is amazing in this role: Please Stand By
I've recently discovered the actor William Powell: Life With Father My Man Godfrey
"The Japanese Wife" is a beautiful, happy, sad story: The Japanese Wife
Just tonight I watched this movie: Man Of The East I had never heard of it before, but it is now one of my favorites.
"The World's Fastest Indian" with Anthony Hopkins in the lead role is excellent.
"Bottle Shock" depicts the wine-tasting contest in France in 1976 when the world first took notice of California wines. It's a wonderful movie, and a lot of fun. Bottle Shock
This production of the classic "Jane Eyre" is incredibly well done: Jane Eyre
"Out Of Africa" is in my opinion one of the finest movies ever made.
@usedItUp Wow. That's a lot! Thanks for sharing some recommendations!
@usedItUp the hitchhikers guide to the galaxy. Always get lost in that movie.
@Fallen2082 "Don't Panic!" 😉
Ah... Brilliant pick 👍
It's not a movie but a Series called Supernatural and whenever I'm down it just cheers me up!!
@navyPlane639 Oh yes! I've heard about it! There are a LOT of seasons.
Yeahh!!! 15 to be exact!!! I watched it in around a month or two😅😅
@navyPlane639 Wow! That's great! How many episodes did u watch in a day to be done in a month?
Oh I don't remember it was back in September last year but I do remember watching so much like till my eyes were red and I literally couldn't understand English or comprehend anything that I would stop watching.... U can say that whole day all I did was watching and sleeping😅
@navyPlane639 that is a great show. Seen the series about 4 times already.

I think right now my comfort movie is Encanto, but I also like Twilight! I would say my comfort show is The Vampire Diaries and all those spinoffs!!
@fruityPond7887 Oh yes. I like Vampire Diaries as well. I'm planning to watch encanto!
@comfortableNight4463 Have you watched Legacies or the Originals yet?! Encanto is such a fun movie and the songs will definitely get stuck in your head! 😂
@fruityPond7887 I LOVED the originals. In fact, I loved it more than vampire diaries.
@comfortableNight4463 Really?! I really enjoyed it but I'm not sure if I enjoyed it more than TVD!😮
@fruityPond7887
I like the songs, the music in all the Twilight movies. I don't usually watch a movie all the way through the credits but in the rare movie that has wonderful lyrics and music... I stick around. Thanks for posting.
@comfortableNight4463
my comfort movie at the moment has to be Luca, and my comfort shows are the dragon prince and tangled the series, this last one hold such an important place in my heart. Though oddly enough, analogue horror is also something i watch to calm down.
@comfortableNight4463
1. Clueless. I love Alicia Keys hehe.
2. Fantastic Four where Jessica Alba played as the Invisible Woman.
3. Interview with the Vampire. Both Brad Pitt and Tom Cruise are so handsome.
4. Mission Impossible movies.
5. Ms. Congeniality. I love Sandra Bullock.
6. Dracula. I like Keanu Reeves.
@Jewelmoon17 LOVED Clueless and Ms. congeniality. Never watched the others. Might watch some. Thanks for the recommendations!
@comfortableNight4463
Ms. congeniality, yeah... that's a good one. I love the transformation reveal scene where she's walking out and stumbles with her inexperience with walking with heals and cooly recovers. In the second, the slow mo scene where the two women walk out side by side ready for a fight... and someone hooks at them, taking them out of their zone... This movie is one of my light-hearted retreats. I've watched these two so many times.
