I had no idea this series was made into movies! I feel like so many millennials have nostalgia for Goosebumps which I just didn't get into. I read a few, but started with some Fear Street books and Goosebumps were a big step down both in content, reading level, and general maturity. I don't even think I had friends who were reading them at the time.

I will definitely try to check these out sometime and may try to find a book or 2 as well, although I suspect my hazy memory of them has set my expectations of them much higher than what they are.

Fear Street (1978) was the best for me. Overall, I love the cast and the aesthetic of the film, which gives viewers an idea of what it was like in the late 70s. You definitely need to see all 3 films because they are all interrelated and if you miss one, the other doesn't make sense anymore. That's why I saw all 3 films in a day. The best way to watch them is backwards, starting with 1994, followed by 1978 and finally 1666.

(Btw, I loveeee this concept poster 😍)
