Let's all try respond posts that are new Community forums

November 20th, 2016

I know it's difficult we all have time constraints. As often as I can, I come here and look for the posts that need a reply. I am very much guilty I'll not being able to do that as regularly as I would like.

Responding to one of these posts doesn't have to mean you understand all the ramifications. Often,People just want to be heard and acknowledged.

Even if you have nothing in particular, to say to the person posting, I'm sure the person wouldn't appreciate that you didn't knowledge how dare you pain.

Often I will use that it helps just to know someone is reading your post realizes that they are pain.

Might I suggest that as often as they can we take a look at the pose need reply and please say, "I hear you and acknowledge you". Sometimes that makes the world of difference.

This is all just my $.02. Take it for what it's worth.

Awesome post! I think this is a great idea and that we should all try to respond to as many posts as we can. A reply can go a long way, even an upvote goes somewhere.

I think @Laura should hear about this because maybe she can make it official !

I think that in my (pointed little) mind, people just want to hear, "I understand you are in pain"-- and BTW, you can fin help and you are wonderful and cared for and acknowledged.

Personally, I'm all for pointing out, that you should look at only one issue at a time, and consider different options. Even if I were a therapist, without more background information and knowing the conversation would be regularly revisited, reorganized, and reevaluated, I'd be reluctant to give my advice; I'd rather point out options.

I've seen something like this on reddit before and I still think it is a great idea. While some people may not have the time to post a full response, just upvotes also help as Roadie says here . You make some great points here so thank you for taking the time to write this up. :)

I am still quite saddened that my broken wrist seems to nee to be in a custom molded brace (which completely encompasses my thumb and goes up mid-way to my elbow, for at least 6 weeks; that'll be 278 days at the earliest).ˆI can only type minimally with my non-dominant hand. After that long, I'm not sure how long I'll need physical therapy until I can type proficiently. I wish I could at least acknowledge some more of the new posts.

Maybe I was wrong. It's been a few months. I'm just pathetic and lonely. I was ingnored here when I was in need. I logged back knowing that little has probably changed. I was "great" when I was the one replying. When I reached out, I was left to fall. Why login again? I'm pathetic. I guess this should be refunded in the 7 cups 'motto'.
