Can you seperate truth from the legendary lies?
A lie retold decades after decades, centuries after centuries appears to be immutable truth. These lies are the ones which are responsible for almost all modern problems. Can you think of any examples?

I can think of a huge number of them, but those that have been around for centuries, when challenged, can lead to plenty of hostility and conflict. I'm afraid if I got down to specifics, I'd generate a lot of emotional triggers. However, the first category that came to mind are those related to sexism, race and gender issues. That's followed by those that exist in an all to often successful attempt to oppress and persecute others.
@BlatantHonesty As a staunch atheist I think that all religion are lies that were pounded into truthdom and actions with gigantic reparcussions. Whether there is god or not, or how many of them, or whether it has a beard, are matters of debate; but we made them matters worth huge money, control, power, oppression, and outright slaughter.
They say order (rules of man) are existent for a society to thrive and survive. I can understand to some extent why lies that became legendary truths happened and how they believed it was a good idea [narrator: it was in fact a bad idea], from diverse reasons.. for sure. What they didn't anticipate however - was human nature, annnnnd it got out of hand. Result? Welcome to doomed planet Earth. We are still alive though, go figure.

Thank you! It was an interesting subject to reflect on, thanks to you. You'd think humanity would be thriving and evolving given its long history; alas it's really sad to think about the outcomes so far.

When I was little I heard a lot of: you cannot make mayonnaise while on your period, or wash your hair, or swim, or ride a bike, amongst a long list of other activities, which all can be done perfectly when you tried 😁
