Ever since my parents and my wife's parents have past on, Easter seems to be just another day on the calendar.
We use to have family over to feast but just seem like everyone has moved on since the deaths of our parents. They were the glue that held everyone together during the holidays. 😢

I did reply to this thread already, but my perspective is always shifting.
I looked up the meaning of Easter. It is to remember the sacrifice Jesus made in order to wash away sin. It is also about Jesus conquering death and coming back to life so that we may have eternal life with him.
I believe faith is an integral part of the human experience. I respect faith and encourage people to live in harmony despite differences in opinion.
I sometimes find it very hard to believe someone like Jesus existed. Whether he did or not, I vibe with the core message: to love one another. So, for me, Easter means to embrace the other.
I do like to think what his return would look like. Anyone claiming to be Jesus would risk institutionalisation. Would he really reveal himself? I'm not sure he would, not unless he would be able to verify his identity.
@cyanessence I just realised you did reply but why not again, gives me a chance to have a conversation with one of my favourite people 🥰💜 That's an interesting concept, i never thought about how hard it must have been for Jesus to do what He did, and to not give in to what people thought of him. Today it would be very hard to get people to heed such a message 🤔
