💜 Forgiveness 💜
♡ Hi Cups! ♡
I wanted to make a little space to talk about something that feels really important to me—mental health, the things we carry quietly, and learning to be gentle with ourselves.
For those who don't know me, I'm a listener here on 7 Cups, and being a listener is something I genuinely love. 💗 I love being able to sit with people during the moments when everything feels too heavy, listen without judgment, and remind them that they don't have to figure everything out alone.
My listening style is gentle, validating, and accepting. You don't need the perfect words with me. You don't need to explain everything or make your feelings “make sense.” Sometimes, you just need someone to listen.
🌸 ─────────────── 🌸
Mental health can be incredibly difficult because so much of what we struggle with is invisible.
You can smile, laugh, go to work or school, answer messages, and tell everyone you're okay while quietly fighting battles nobody knows about.
Nobody sees the thoughts you fight when you're alone.
Nobody sees the tears you wipe away.
Nobody sees how exhausting it can be to simply get through the day.
And sometimes, the hardest part is how tired you become from constantly fighting.
You can keep trying to heal, keep trying to understand yourself, keep trying to change, keep trying to make it through another day and still reach a point where you're just exhausted.
That doesn't mean you're weak.
It doesn't mean you've failed.
Sometimes it simply means you've been carrying something heavy for a very long time. 🫂
You can be healing and still hurt.
You can be making progress and still have bad days.
You can be trying your hardest and still need a break.
Both can be true.
🌷 ─────────────── 🌷
And then there's forgiveness.
Forgiving other people can be hard, but forgiving ourselves can feel even harder.
We replay our mistakes. We think about what we should've done differently. We hold onto things we regret and sometimes convince ourselves that we deserve to keep hurting because of them.
But forgiving yourself doesn't mean pretending your mistakes didn't happen.
It can mean acknowledging them, learning from them, taking responsibility where needed, and still allowing yourself to move forward.
Maybe the version of you who made those choices was hurting. Maybe you didn't have the understanding or tools you have now.
You are allowed to grow beyond who you once were.
You don't have to spend your entire life punishing yourself for being human. 🤍

💭 So, I want to ask you...
What is something you’re still learning to forgive yourself for?
It can be something big, something small, something from your past, or even something you're struggling with right now.
You don't have to share anything you're uncomfortable sharing. This is simply a space to reflect, connect, and remind one another that we deserve compassion, too. 🌱
And if you ever need someone to listen, my PMs are open. You don't need to have the perfect words or know where to start. You can simply show up as you are. 💗

Really just trying to forgive and be more understanding to some rare members who are very rude and offensive..it's hard to listen when a member decides to attack you personally for really no reason whatsoever and I just sit back sad that they are making significant errors in their life.. I wish I could help them but I can't so I feel bad .🌲
