I have a fairly complex response to such a short phrase.

There's value to health deformity sure. We need a certain level of health to do anything in this life. The less health we have also has many costs - financial and otherwise.

I still have worth as a person though, despite having multiple chronic illnesses. A statement like this could easily be interpreted as someone who is unhealthy is less worthy, especially when poor health is affecting someone's self esteem. It's also not uncommon for disabled people to be looked down upon.

There's also the things that usually follow it that insinuate health is a choice. All of us relied on others at least for some of our lives to make decisions for us and the freedom to make decisions isn't equal for everyone. Plus many of us, even if we do things completely ideally all of the time (which isn't actually possible) still wouldn't be healthy.

Eating healthy will not cure my illnesses.
