I’m too depressed to care about my health.
@tearsofthefalls99
same :( it is hard to do anything nice or even necessary for ourselves when not feeling good :(
is there anything you'd like to work on tho? maybe small steps can help
@tearsofthefalls99 Yep, happens to me too. I let myself stay in that place for awhile, and then try just a little…sometimes it gets me out of the rut, sometimes not, but keep trying.
Ask yourself why that is. If you ask yourself genuinely you may find the answer. Depression can be a result of a poor diet and poor blood circulation in the body and that includes the brain. If you have no will to do anything for yourself you won't move and because you're not moving it will be harder to start moving. Excessive comfort can also contribute to a lack of motivation, this is laziness. You can be eating too much and moving too little. Go on walks and absorb some sunlight. Stretch, do some excercises. Observe your habits. If you sit around all day it's because you can afford to. You can help yourself get out of all things that you get into and this includes depression. The harder to believe it is the harder it will be at at least try, because this is a matter of thinking it is thoughts that either help or hinder you.
The harder it will be to at least try*
Sometimes, resting and giving yourself time is what you need. I try to slowly move myself to another area when I’m feeling down, and not expecting anything of myself. There are times when I spend my afternoons sitting outside under a tree. Sometimes I like to think about small things I enjoy, but if it’s too much, I rest and don’t make myself. I personally find that removing myself from music that triggers sad feelings or upset feelings has helped me. Putting myself in a new environment with fresh exposure helps me re-center.
Remember, it’s okay to lose yourself sometimes, as long as you come back - even if that takes a while. It’s okay to take your time, and to feel how you feel. I don’t know you, but I love you <3
I can also relate to this which makes it easier to understand how it feels and how to improve your perception of life. Make a poster, or just write down on a piece of paper goals you want to work on. That way things wont seem so foggy and you'll get a better understanding on what seems empty in your life.
Depression holds you back from what you're meant to do, but for now I say do what's best for your body. Remind yourself that your body relies on you to take care of your health. Priotize your health before anything else. You will be with yourself for eternity. Use with what you have and focus on meditation (mainly ones that focus on your imagination and growth)
Everyone has light inside of them and some just haven't been lit yet. You will find it someday and there is hope. Live in the present, have no worries about the past now that it is gone, and don't question the future now that it is never promised. As long as you feel good in the moment that's all that matters. That's why memories are cherished.
