Take a seat 😊
If you could sit down with one person and say sorry? Would you take that opportunity?
@Amanda84 Yes, always. I feel so much better after I apologize. Although sometimes I also have a tendency to apologize for things that are not my fault. Sometimes I’ll apologize for things that are fairly clearly the other person’s. Still, in most situations I can find whatever my part in it was and apologize for it. Sometimes meeting someone partway will soften their heart and they’ll offer an apology in return. Sometimes people will gladly let you take the blame, chronically, and then you know when to bow out gracefully and go.

That's the key, recognising toxic cycles. Relationships are give and take, an open discussion, a sharing of ideas. When someone takes advantage repeatedly it's soul destroying.
@cyanessence Recognising toxic cycles is key and gaslighting and people who simply don't have the courage or growth to own their own mistakes 🥰
@cyanessence You are right. I wish it didn’t seem like so many people are like this nowadays. I have a hard time finding people who are really genuine.
@PiecesOfWhoeverIWas it's honourable to say sorry when you are wrong and take accountability 🥰 because most people don't but never apologise when you are not in the wrong or more than once, they heard it the first time and if they choose not to accept it, you've already done your bit 💜🥰
@Amanda84 I wonder why it is that so many people have a hard time apologizing. I think guilt is a feeling a lot of people struggle with, and they’ll go to many lengths to avoid it. I’m sure we’ve all found ourselves justifying our poor choices at some point. I think deflection, anger, manipulation, so many things people do are actually misplaced guilt they’re pushing back on. When you welcome guilt as something you just have to deal with sometimes, and have an understanding that you are not better than anyone else, suddenly you feel humbled and lowering yourself to apologize for another’s wellbeing doesn’t seem like such a bad thing. The right people will actually respect you more for it. We just have to be careful of the wrong people who can exploit it.
@PiecesOfWhoeverIWas know who deserves an apology and who deserves our silence 💜🥰
Myself for all the times i abandoned myself, for choosing needing acceptance and second guessing myself over my truth. For still not being able to stand up for myself and stand in my authenticity. For still failing. For asking to be let of the hook for not being perfect and not being able to deliver in a perfect way, for failing, for being human. I want to be let off the hook now cos i resent never being able to make myself happy. For never reaching the standard. I want to had in my resignation. No one make you happy, you’re perpetually dissatisfied. You love fear and and are always scared. You’re scared of being homeless, penniless, you’re facing financial insecurity and that’s the be all and end of your life and you don’t care about anything else. You treat me like a friggen machine! You care more about the world thinks than you care about yourself. I wished you’d understand you’re not a failure, you’re not a loser, you’re not a disappointment, you’re not worthless and you don’t need to prove yourself. You need live. You need to stop torturing yourself. You’re not a bad person because you went shopping when you’re grandad died. You were 16 and no you should have known better. You couldn’t have saved him. You couldn’t resuscitate him. I know you felt abandoned and left alone in the world thereafter & you’ve carried that loneliness and I know it feels like no one in the world knows your pain and your pain is unique, different and the only on me worth acknowledging. The world is not waiting for your pain, people are not going to be redeeming by you. People have not been waiting for you. You’re not here to save anyone. Just relax

Firstly, I have no doubt that your grandad is watching over you with pride, still loving you, that never stopped, you are not responsible because you couldn't have known, but you carry it because you said didn't get to say goodbye or tell him how much he meant to you, but he knows. You hold yourself to a perfect standard but we are human and will always make mistakes. Tell your younger self and your current self, you matter, you are enough, you are trying, you are moving forward and you deserve all the world has to offer you 💜🥰
@NobodyKnow5
I feel this in my soul.
@Amanda84 I would sit down with my younger self and tell her, don't ever let anyone make you feel unworthy or not loved, dont carry that hurt with you bevause its not worth it 💜🥰
@Amanda84
I think I would have a similar conversation with my younger self!
I'm probably a little late to the party, but I'll say it anyway: you are worthy and you are loved. I hope any hurt caused by doubting that heals in time.
@cyanessence some parties go on all night 🥰 your kind words don't go unnoticed 💜
@Amanda84
I love that. "Some parties go on all night." Makes me feel as if there is still time, that things can still be right. I will fight for life, yours and mine, until there is no light, and even then, just reignite!
Yes. They'll never speak to me again. I think it's for the best. I would only apologize and leave it at that.
🐠
That's so absolutely fullfilling!!!
@Amanda84
Yes. It would be my dad. He passed away bc I didn’t take care of him like I should’ve. Everyone who knows I feel this way says otherwise which I appreciate very much but I still feel the way I feel. I didn’t do anything to make him proud of me before he passed away either, at least not as proud as he was of my brother and two sisters. Tbh I really could’ve and should’ve done a lot more and done better when it comes to my dad. I’m truly sorry daddy I miss you ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
