What are your goals in life?
7cups offers a lot and shapes you to be a better person. With the support of 7cups, what would you like to achieve in life?
I really don't know. Everything I wanted to do seems impossible now. I guess I just want to improve my mental health a little bit.
To learn to be self-accepting of my self. learning daily to only focus on the challenges of the day as to not overwhelm myself. To arise each morning looking and anticipating a great day ahead. Recognizing the beauty of what I have and learning to cherish each waking day.
@scarletPear1945You want to accept yourself for who you are, you want to focus on the challenges ahead of you and come down with a solution whereas looking at all the problems at once which would overwhelm you and then hesistate to do anything about it (never let the problem grow, so work on it immediately) and you want to remain positive everyday :) Anything Is Possible. Believe in yourself! All the best
I want to feel accomplished, but I don't know what to accomplish. I'm a stay at home wife, we can't afford to start a family now. I like to write, and I guess it would be nice to accomplish something with writing. As well as accomplishments like that, my goal is to remain as healthy in my mind as I can be.
@pam125 You are determined to accomplish something in life despite the obstacles in your way. Once you have set a vision for yourself, there is no turning back. Every challenge in life is an opportunity in disguise. I wish you the best. Your writing will take you somewhere :) Grab the opportunities!
@pam125, Greetings. I'd just thought you might find the Kahn Academy to be a useful resource.
My goal in life is to finally be completely content and not feel so scared of everything. I want to have a successful career as a writer and be able to share my art with the world without being scared of judgement. I also want to develop meaningful connections with the different kinds of people who come into my life.
I want to love and like myself and feel like a capable, strong, fierce and independent woman - an adult woman, not a child. I want to be confident and have fun and live a better, fuller life, with friends that I don't feel ridiculously anxious with after many years, and with a home and partner!
@ScorpioFairy You want to see yourself as a stronger woman, confident and happy within. You would also like to settle down. I wish you the best and always believe and love yourself!! :)
@ScorpioFairy
We are happy that you are here! You have set wonderful goals for yourself! Stay positive. You got this!
I want to put all the pieces of my life's puzzle together, so that I could figure out where to go and start working on an optimized way to get there.
@DragoBludvist You want to understand yourself better and pave a path that you will be happy in life, a peaceful state :) All the best to you! No goal can be achieved without your effort!
@DragoBludvist
Well said! I wish you the best of luck on your journey. It sounds like you are ready for some positive change, and getting your life on the right track.
My goal in life is simply to be an asset to the biosphere. Useful. Competent. Wise. Considerate. Thoughtful. Caring. I'm mostly appalled and embarrassed by our species. Human productivity has literally skyrocketed during my lifetime and yet we still have poverty. The only explanation is deplorable negligence, inexcusable ignorance, and shameful indifference. As a society we actually celebrate things that really couldnt be more dysfunctional. Like religion, opulence, fame, and authority. Evolution by natural selection is a fact, not a theory. What you think you own actually owns you. The largest component of liberty is obviously anonymity. And power corrupts, therefore the greater the authority the less it can be trusted.
That perspective leaves me wondering if depression, anxiety, and unhappiness are rightly considered cognitive dysfunction or simply the correct and quite healthy response to such a hopelessly and needlessly misguided society. We humans, as a species, seem to do nothing so well as prey upon each other which seems so recklessly counterproductive and callously inept when cooperating would theoretically have far higher yields.
I joined 7 cups because I suspect that there might be others like me; that are unhappy for reasons that should rightly make anyone cognizant of these things deeply despondent. And I think the kindest and most wholesome thing that can be done for such a soul is to acknowledge the validity of both the perspective and the unhappiness it is bound to create. But Im no expert in clinical psychology, nor have I studied any of these phenomenon academically. So I could be dead wrong and possibly even a nuisance here. Which is why Im introducing myself so carefully and attempting to clearly elucidate my perspective and intentions. The very last thing I ever want to be is any sort of liability.
