What is your favourite film to watch when feeling down?

I personally like to get my mind off things and watch a film or read a book. For me, I like watching the old disney films, for example, my current favorites are The Huncback of Notre Dame & The Little Mermaid & Mulan. I especially love the mesmerising music. It lifts me up instantly and makes me feel I'm in a different world.

What about you?

My favourite film is Armageddon. No idea why, I just absolutely adore it. It was the first DVD my parents ever owned, and you had to turn it over in the middle of the film! It's not the same without that flip! It happens in the really dramatic explosion on the Space Station too haha I love it so much that we're having "Don't wanna miss a thing" as our first dance Smiley smile My favourite Disney film, however, is Beauty and the Beast because I really identified with Belle as a child. I usually search this resource https://torrentsites.com/best-torrent-sites/ to find a decent movie.

@independentlemon09 You spoke about Armageddon with great passion that I just looked it up and it looks great, Im downloading it right away! Ah yes Belle can be relatable in many aspects, me on the other hand find myself identifying with Ariel and her longing to explore the world and such ^^ Thank you for sharing!

@MayaCloud I almost always watch Brother Bear when I'm really sad. It warms my heart and I always cry when I watch that movie which is quite often something I've been needing to do.

When I'm really down, I don't watch as much tv. I tend to listen to music.
Will watch music videos on YouTube. It often distracts me in a positive way.

But a good comedy is always nice.

I, too, love the cute Disney movies ... and Christmas magical movies. I also love The Money Pit with Tom Hanks and Arthur with Dudley Moore because they make me laugh!

I know this is not a movie but I guess related. Whenever I am feeling down I love to watch videos on Oscar or Golden Globe wins/acceptance speeches, the reason for this is because watching the purest joy from peoples faces and their reactions and their speeches makes me feel motivated and tinsy bit less sad.

But, some of my fave feel better films are dead poets society ! and the perks of being a wallflower bc sometimes when I am sad, i just need to cry a bit more but its a masterpiece of a film

@sweetcreahture Yeah I love it too when I see people's smile, enjoying their moment of success after all the hard work. It also motivates me a little.

These two films are epic as well and I love them so much. When I feel like I need a good cry I'll watch 'I am Sam.' For some reason I keep crying all the way through it even though I've watched it many times before. Thank you so much for sharing ♥

I like to watch old sci-fi films, such as Innerspace and Short Circuit, and old children's animated films such as Iron Giant and Help, I'm a Fish. I also endear and enjoy Killer Bean Forever (it looks weird at first, but after watching it all the way through and learning about how it was created it has become one of my top favorites).

@musicalShell150 Thank you so much for your comment! To all the Boys is my absolute favourite when it comes to cinematic shots. This film is insanely aesthetic. Just pause at any second in the film and you'll have the most beautiful scenery. I was stunned when I saw it for the first time becasue of the cuteness overload <3
