Lately I've been on here making new posts on topics which I needed help on and what have been related to depression, anxiety and other forums on the site. However, I don't ever seem to get a reply. I know it's not that my forum is not the wrong category as I check before sending it and my forum isn't inappropriate or hurtful to any so wanted to know why am I not getting any replies?

I needed help on here and not got it.

Please can someone help

@TreaureSeekers3 I am not sure what to tell you. I can tell you though, that I am sure your posts are getting read and thought about. I post a lot, and can sometimes go a long while before someone responds to a post. Even if you have the right forum and right category, a lot of times people are hesitant to make an actual reply to you on Cups. Sometimes it can be as simple as tweaking your thread title, but sometimes there's no reason why there's not an automatic response. Don't give up! Keep sharing your thoughts. I guarantee you, people are reading and listening.
I saw you, didn't I? ;)

I took a few minutes to search the forums for your name, and I was not able to find any post of yours that has no reply at all.

I did notice AMA- How to be Self Confident where you got one reply, but the reply did not solve your problem by telling you how to build up your self confidence. I imagine that's probably because no one here at 7 Cups can possibly know your particular reasons for lack of confidence. That's the kind of thing a therapist does (and I notice you mention that through therapy you will soon be learning how to cope with these feelings).

Another reason it can be difficult to get helpful replies, I think, is that people who have worked through some difficulty in their lives and recovered from it don't usually hang around forums like this one giving advice. These forums are a good place to meet people who have similar problems, but not such a good place to meet the people who know how to recover.

As @ladylazarus1971 says, a lot of times people are hesitant to reply. I'm hesitant sad In my case, I hesitate because in these forums there has often been destructive censorship, and I have taken time to write thoughtful replies only to have them reworded or removed by someone who disagrees with them in some way.

Also, the quantity of spam here makes it harder than it should be for people to follow the forums and reply to new questions quickly.

I don't think there's anything special you can do to get people to respond. I agree that if you keep sharing your thoughts and questions, you will continue to get some responses, even if they are not as many as you'd like, and not as helpful as you'd like.

I'm sorry you've had trouble getting responses. I know it is really discouraging when no one seems to take an interest in something you've posted. I hope you don't take it personally. Along with the possibiities that others have already mentioned, I think part of the problem may be the way the site is structured.

I've noticed a general pattern of this site emphasizing quantity over quality. They are constantly introducing new features, new forums, new events, etc. As exciting as it is to see the site expand and develop, this comes with some downsides. It may have resulted in a fragmentation of the user-base and a dilution of content. Because of how decentralized everything has become, a user might have more difficulty connecting to a specific piece of relevant content or connecting to a specific user who shares their interests. So if you don't receive a response, it could be that those who would be interested in your post are scattered elsewhere on the site, possibly in overlapping forums.

Have you tried re-posting a message in multiple forums to maximize your chances of getting a quality response? Or seeing if there's any interest in those topics in the various chatrooms? You may need to keep poking around in different areas of the site to find the place/s where people will be most receptive. I hope this helps, or you find a good strategy that works for you. Good luck!
