Are you more worried about doing things right, or doing the right things?
I'm mostly concerned about not doing things right. I feel like I'm inherently not good enough for the people/things I have in my life, so I tend to feel like I mess everything up.
I think I'm worried about both, but mostly just doing things right. Especially in the eyes of other people. I think I live for others too much and just want them to see me in a certain way so I get caught up in wanting their approval instead of perhaps doing the right things.
I already know what the right thing to do is in most situations, I just have to figure out the best way to handle it.
I am more worried about douing the right things especially at university
@crimsonMelon8700 Same...... It's sometimes is confusing :(
Both! I feel like a failure and wonder ehat my adult children see when they look at me, because i feel like a freaking mess! 😰
Doing the right thing the best I can and hope it's the right way
Out of the two options, I am probably more concerned about doing things right. Whenever I mess up, even if it is the smallest thing, I tend to feel angry with myself and make a big deal about it in my mind.
I think I'm a bit of both depending. When I'm handling stuff at my university, I want to make sure I'm doing the right thing. Though, when I'm volunteering for groups and whatnot, I get scared that I'm doing things the right away. I've had a lot of stuff crash and burn on me for reasons I don't know, but I tend to blame it on myself.
Definitely doing things right, I tend to just impulsively do things to combat my anxiety. But I recently took a online test that said I have bipolar disorder as well. It makes sense now but I would've never guessed or seen the signs myself.
I think both...I only like doing things that seem "right" and only seem to follow through when/if I feel like I'm doing them right--I have a a touch of perfectionism bordering on OCD...and when I'm not doing either, my anxiety really spikes and I turn to food or alcohol to cope.
