Best for Peer Support
Verywell Mind is one of a group of websites that aim to provide a wide range of trusted health and fitness information. Earlier this month they published a review of the Best Online Therapy Programs of 2020, and they include 7 Cups, "Best for Peer Support", among the nine they reviewed.
The not so good news is that of the seven sites that actually offer therapy, 7 Cups gets the joint lowest rating. (The other two sites offer medical advice from doctors or psychiatrists.)
We have the fewest therapists—only 115 compared to the top rated site with 5,000. And we're the only site they reviewed that doesn't offer video therapy.
All the other therapy providers have higher-priced options than we do, making 7 Cups look the cheapest. (This is partly because of a mistake Verywell made in the comparison table.)
Only five of the sites get full reviews, and 7 Cups isn't one of them. Our brief review is very positive, though.
In addition to being brief, our review seems a little out of date. For example, when I counted our therapists this morning I found the number has dropped from 115 to 104 since Verywell did their research. And the review claims we offer a three-day free therapy trial, which I think (?) is no longer available.
It looks like to get back in the online therapy game we need video, and we need many more therapists. The market for online therapy seems to support higher prices at the top end, so it looks like our business model could be tweaked to take advantage of this and fund improvements throughout 7 Cups.

Comparisons are good when they make you feel optimistic not make you feel bad about yourself, just my two cents.
This is not a race to heal . We provide support not solutions as far as I know.
Also it's about manageable quality rather than unmanageable quantity.
We should have trust in what we are doing.
I hope I am not being dismissive of the report but I am trying to be positive about what we have done so far. Cheers!
@RarelyCharlie One thing I find lacking there is the mention of what countries are supported, I know not all of them are available here. Interesting about the video, I think the first step to get there would to have sessions, without real-time support, I don't see much value in video messaging. Sure, people could record video messages back and forth and then there would be tone.visual cues to add to the context, but the advantage would be very minimal for adding in the capability IMO.
