I try to see a "failure" as a que to try something else. If that doesn't work...try something else. I do get frustrated when I am not the cause of the "failure". But then I try to use it to educate those that are. I am stuck in what seems to be a cycle of "failures" atm but its not because of me...n getting those who need to be educated are slow learners it seems..
But I will not..and can not give up
I just need a break, a breath, and to find the right way to get through this.
The only time I feel like I really fail is if I give up before I have tried everything.
After it hits me, I tend to sweat over it for sometime and then create a mental compartment for it. I put that 'failure' in it's own separate compatment, shut it down. Then when I have cooled down, open it up, take a magnifying glass and analyze it thoroughly.
Failure is hard for me, but I usually recover from it bit by bit. I've failed a lot in my life, and it's worn away at my self confidence, to be honest. But I keep going and trying to live my life, if nothing else because that's the only choice I have. That's why I have to bounce back at least to some degree.
I usually get angry and start to put myself down. I'm horrible at procrastination and dealing with matters.
I see it as a challenge. When you fail, frustration and anger lead you nowhere. Failure is like a puzzle, you must sit back and rethink it over and over to try to find exactly why you did it. Once you figure it out, you're ready to focus on your mistake and try again or move on to another challenge. Collecting failures is excellent to give you a sense of purpose and limitations. Knowing your limits is the best way to increase them. Also aknoledging mistakes may prevent you from doing them over again. At the very time you are making a mistake, you are sure you are making the right thing or that that is a possible shortcut. If you go back in time and erase that, you'll never know why you didn't try that in the first place so logically you'd make the same mistake again. Embrace your failures and mistakes, you don't need to share them with anyone yet they are no reason to be ashamed. They should always be treated as wisdom for that's what they are, nothing more and nothing less.
I mostly cry. But I look at failure as another chance at success. Like the 'fall down seven times stand up eight' quote... You get your happy ass back up, you can cry while getting up, because I know I do, and then I go on about trying something differently.
Most of my fails I will just walk away from and keep going, no big deal - part of life. If it's important to me I will try again. But an astronomical failure that leads to losing a job = losing money? Oh boy I am angry and take quite a while to calm down before I can regroup my thoughts.
I don't do so well I over exaggerate and think my life is going to be hell for me .Then I talk to my friends about what happened they are supportive .And tells me everybody makes mistakes .
@mined347 That's great that you reach out to your support network after a failure; it's great when we have others to lean on!
My reaction to failure is acceptance. It's just a part of life. Some paths just aren't meant to everyone.
Failure is good time to stop and just evaluate the situation: do I really want this and how to go on after this. Sometimes there is obvious reason for the failure and sometimes it's just not actually wanting something that much you would have actually succeed.
Failure isn't always failure. Sometimes it is just cutting off excessive source of stress and other negative feelings; admitting to yourself that you just can't take this shxt anymore. To people outside of your life it may look different, "failure" or "giving up", but they don't always know the reasons for coming up such solutions. It's not easy but sometimes it's necessarily.
Success and failure..
A man owes his success to his right choices.
And his ability of choosing the right choices to his experience.
And experience is nothing but failures.
So, there's nothing to deal with. Life, the most cruel teacher I've ever known is teaching you that how to rise, with falling.
