That there is something good in everyone
One thing I firmly believe in is that with success you must work for it, it's not to be hended too.
So I think I over thought this before reading comments but here goes. I am passionate about several things, it was hard to pick one.
I have a strong belief that American Sign language should be a mandatory option in schools as a second language. It is an American language that is not recognized as it should be. Sadly I went to a big book store looking for sign language books for myself as well as my class of four and five year olds.
In the adult section there was a half a shelf of French, Arabic, Muslim, Latin, Chinese..... You get the picture. And by no means am I downgrading any language or culture. Those books should be available, however when I found the ASL books, there were four. It was disheartening that An American language, that is similar universally to all languages, was so limited. There are deaf cultures that are so strong because they can communicate with each other and understand.
But when I went to the children's section I looked forever trying to find children's ASL books. While looking there was a whole section, floor to ceiling of books in Spanish. I finally found one book. This result of my shopping trip not only upset me but made me angry. I posted on Facebook how disappointed I was with the store, which I named, and in society it self. ASL is not nearly readily available in public, and private schools, as a class. I had to wait til college to learn the language I am passionate about, while being forced to choose either Spanish, French, or German to graduate.
How many movies have you seen, or know, are made in another language. Example, I nannied for a French family and had to watch Herbie the love bug in French at least twice a day. That was fine but how many movies have you heard of that I only sign language. If you are deaf you should be able to actually watch a movie without reading closed caption.
This was a long rant and I apologize, but I could keep going. For your sake I won't! 😊. When I began typing this I said I had many strong beliefs I could write all night long. I am not closed minded to others beliefs and am always up for a friendly debate!

@EnergySensitive I agree with you 100%. Yes people will argue that it is a minority of people who actually need it but screw that. We as human beings should feel obligated to make sure that everyone and I mean everyone is included and heard. I can relate to your struggle of finding books. Eventually instead Im having a friend who knows it teach me it.

@forcefulDime8382 thank you. I honestly wish it was taught along with English in schools. Start early. Of course this plan would take years to implimate but I feel is inportant. What if you have a deaf child or you went suddenly deaf, it's much harder the learn when you are older and under quick pressure.

I firmily believe that I will never be cured, and that I will be unable to forgive my boyfriend for what I am going through. I blame him, although i shouldnt, because i ultimately blame myself, but i get mad at him because i feel like this is the time i am at my worst, and he left. I feel like i will always blame him to some extent, and never forgive him
Actions speak louder than words.
One thing I believe in is that everyone has a reason to be here, some (like myself) may feel like it's pointless to be here, but despite everything, I know there's some purpose to life.

I believe in mercy, and the quality of being merciful. Mercifulness is the most crucial quality of human beings. I used to have a very narrow-minded way of thinking, once believing that someone should pay hell for their consequential actions. I believed in revenge. Then when I actually made a huge mistake in my life, I was not shown mercy and it made me change my way of thinking. There is nothing I value more than the action to forgive, to show mercy to others and realize that we as humans make mistakes. I am a firm believer in mercy and forgiveness.
One thing I firmly believe is.... that people should be respected for their differences, beliefs, thoughts, and more. God didn't place us on this world to argue, judge, and put people down, but to be a close community that loves one another. It's not the easiest task, but it is something we should all aim for.
