One thing I have never told anyone is....[finish this sentence}
Just... blurt it out! Don't be nervous! Make your secrets not so secret....
That I feel worthless like I'm not good enough for people. I try hard to be the best me but I fall short.
@Gini1983 I often feel the same way...
@LillyHallow with my anxiety it's gotten worse
@Gini1983 You're preaching to the Choir.. I cannot count the nights I've fallen asleep crying because of a crushing feeling of innadequacy or worthlessness.
@Gini1983. I also feel this way at times
@Gini1983
we are more valuable than most , we have more humanity , strength and wisdom , but I understand the feeling , only I dont feel it until someone treats me less than
@Gini1983
Although it may seem like you often fall short, we often hold ourselves to a higher standard and we often really get down on ourselves for not reaching certain goals. The only thing we can do is move forward and realize that we are making things happen and if they don't work out for that moment....thats ok :)
@Gini1983 if you are trying your best, you are good enough. Its always ones intentions that matter, not the outcome, and if people cannot see that, they are not worthy of what you have to offer. Your value does not decrease based on someones inability to see your worth.
@Gini1983
Right there with you.
i think i'm bi and demi (I feel very guilty about it because of a multitude of reasons and am struggling to tell myself that it's not a sin). Also even though i pretend i'm fine i actually have crappy thoughts all the time and am constantly trying and failing to tell myself that my anxiety isn't made up and that it's actually legit. I'm also incredibly afraid of failing and have always prioritized my grades and work over my own wellbeing even though i know that's bad.
@jrblss18 you should not feel guilty of the person you know u are. Don't hide ur sexuality because that will eat and destroy u. Be proud of who u are. My daughter is bi and I love her with all my heart. Nothing has changed about her. I'm sure u will have a good support team behind you
@Gini1983
Thankyou so much for your comment. I wish more parents can be this supportive lol. I'm trying my best but i still breakdown pretty often. I'm glad you accpet and support your daughter! she's very lucky. Your comment made me feel happy so thanks for that
@jrblss18 u are very welcome and I'm always here if u need a friend to talk to.
@jrblss18 being hi is not a sin!! Its just means you have more love to give. Love is not a sin x
@Dilara1993
Thankyou! it's nice to find supportive people like you on this site
@jrblss18
I recognize myself in you, you know. I'm gay and demi and years after I first started struggling with anxiety I finally figured out that it was actually anxiety that caused my troubles. Also, since my parents pay for my education, I know what it's like to feel the pressure of succeeding in school and how terribly hard that is.
I'm here to tell you that it gets better. Come on, sweetheart, you're already half-way there! You have acknowledged your struggles, you know who you are and how you go through your life: you know what you want to change about yourself to become a happier person. Believe me when I say that actually figuring out that you want to change first is the hardest step. To change, that's something you can do in small steps. Be a little kinder to yourself. Allow yourself a treat after you finished some schoolwork, for example. And when you feel very tired for example, rest. Your schoolwork won't improve if you work on it while exhausted.
Come join the LGBTQ+ community, and talk about your struggles with your sexuality. There are a lot of other people who struggle with their religion and their sexuality too, you aren't alone in that. But for now, remember: God doesn't make mistakes. And He gave you this struggle because He knows you can handle it. So keep on handling it like a boss
As for the anxiety.... I'm still struggling with that pretty badly. Mindfulness and meditation works for me, but that's all very personal. Join the Anxiety subcommunity for more advise though, they have tons!
I hope you're feeling a little better after this, and if not, tell me what I can do to make you feel better. You're so worth it, and if it counts for something, I'm very proud of how far you've come already. Let me tell you, that's a very big deal!
@JayTheBird14
Thankyou for taking the time to write something so heartwarming and encouraging. You're very kind and brave to share your story. My parents pay for my education aswell so the frustration and pressure is pretty palpable lol. I'm glad you realised what's bothering you! It took me a long while aswell. I'm trying to change as much as i can and am even trying to go to the doctor but unfortunately mental health support in my country is pretty scarce. You're giving some pretty good advice. I have an assignment due tomorrow so i'll be treating myself after that for sure XD. TBH it's kinda embarrassing to be this honest over here but It feels nice!! I've joined both communties and reading everyone's story is very encouraging. I hope that you can overcome your anxiety aswell. For me when i'm anxious grounding techniques work well however when i have an anxiety attack it feels like nothing works and i'm gonna lose it very soon. It took me a long time to find out what works but i'm glad i found something. I know God doesn't make mistakes but seems like a pretty cruel thing to do lolol ( i feel bad for typing this). The only logical thing i can think is that the religion has many interpretations and perhaps culture affected that to be more "acceptable" to the public. idk I find that more believable since obviously human translation can't be perfect and without bias. I feel a lot better after reading your comment and i feel like i'm not alone. Thankyou so much again. I'm so glad to meet great people like you here
. Thankyou for reading my comment aswell and if you ever need to talk I'm here!! I hope we can be friends lol.
@jrblss18
I'm happy that you feel better after my message, and I'm very happy that you're getting more comfortable opening up about yourself. Just don't forget that you are very much worth it and that even though bias is something no one can completely turn off within themselves, 7Cups is a safe place where everyone can find their own place to feel excepted and valued. I really hope you can find your place in here too and feel more confident about yourself.
And of course I want to be your friend I'd love to! I'm usually to be found in the daily check-ins of a couple of the communities on here, so feel free to check-in there as well and maybe I'll see you
And whenever you want to talk, I'm here too, for sure
That I've never had sex. I know it's stupid, but it bothers me.
@CherryPieN I used to think that way.. But in my case it was more the lack of a genuine connection that was missing
@CherryPieN. That bothers me also its like I dont fit in
That I'm never fully satisfied with my archivments. No matter how good my grades are, I feel that if I don't work harder, everyone will think I'm worthless...
@sincerePark336
I feel the same way. I never feel happy at anything i've done either and it's gotten to the point where i'll do just about anything to do better just to not feel crappy even if it sacrifices my health. I wish I could tell you that your achievements are amazing and ofcourse perfectionism would make it hard for you to accept it but it'll prolly not feel genuine since I feel like I'm not good enough pretty strongly.
That my mom physically and verbally abuses me she takes all of her anger out on me it makes me feel like I nothing it makes me want to die
@enthusiasticCoconut5441That's horrible! I can't imagine what would make a mother do that to her Child 😢
@enthusiasticCoconut5441 hey, I have my dad do the same thing with me. I understand and feel what you're going through. He honestly looks for excuses to pick on me and that just leaves me feeling anxious about everything I do. it sucks big time but know that it will be over soon. You will get through this and you have everything you need to make through within you. Love and light your way!
I think I might be bi
I sacrificed my happiness to see someone's smile
@Hawkmak3r. I did that too and now Im suffering from it
One thing I have never told anyone is...I'm constantly worried that I have cancer. I have some symptoms but my medical phobia stops me getting checked out. I also secretly hope I do have cancer so I have a good excuse to die soon.
@LittleLotte why do you wanna die
@Gini1983 I just find life too difficult sometimes. I'm not actively suicidal anymore but I still think about it a lot.
I need you
I have been depressed for 8 years and feel useless to anyone or anything.
