Problem Solving Discussion: Honoring and Recognizing Community Milestones! Your help needed!
Hello My Listener & Member Friends,
I wanted to ask you all a question and gather some feedback and ideas!!
Problem: We dont do a great job appreciating each other when community milestones are earned. Often milestones are hit with very little announcement or acknowledgement. A milestone could be a badge, a new level, a streak..etc. Anything on 7 Cups that you could feel proud of!
One thing we know, is that we all do better when we feel appreciated and supported! Whether you are a listener or a member, we all deserve some high fives when we hit a new milestone or goal.
Solution: There are many possible solutions to this problem, however one we have been thinking of would be providing users the easy ability to share about a recent accomplishment on their feed. This would allow you to easily share about a milestone on 7 Cups and get support and high fives from your followers!
In order to do this, we need to compile a list of badges (for listener and members) that we want to highlight in this way! Other items we could highlight: levels, reviews (maybe?)...etc. you can get creative here!
Please take a moment to consider these questions -
What are your favorite badges? Which badges or milestones in the community did you feel most proud to earn?
I'm not sure if I have a favorite badge, but I just being active. It has helped me.
@Laura
For me the most proud are the ALs! I got really excited when I got the 3 of them!
@Laura
I like all the badges but looking especially forward to seeing "love monster" badge when it gets added for the Scavenger Hunt cause it has a cute name and the quote puzzle was a bit more of a challenge.
@Laura I think being able to share your milestones through your feed is a great idea! And to make the post feel special, maybe we can add badge stickers? (kind of like how facebook has them) Where it you can visually show the badge you earned. Just a thought and I'm glad we're discussing this :)
yeah, well, its been 8 months since I joined -- but 3 months since any repsonse.... After 5 months of trying to engage and being ignored, i quit. I informed my Voc Rehab specialist about this platform and she wasn't willing to look, listen or acknowldge any of the work you guys do here (since it is not a governmental agnecy, and there is no way to validate if any of this "therapy" is coming from a liscenced and registered provider.
That and i'm constantly being told not to talk about specific relatable issues that i am experiencing because it too "Plotical"
@Laura my proudest 7 Cups moment would either have to be becoming an adult teen listener and having the opportunity to work with teens, or an adult chatroom mentor. i felt accomplished to have achieved them; both for different reasons :)
today i think i may have actually reached and accomplished my biggest achievement to date, which was the completion of AL4. i had already attempted it in the past but was unsuccessful. i was pretty disheartened and discouraged, but i had someone really believe in me and encourage me to try it again whilst spending the time to help me practice mock chats. i like to say a thank you to @Kara , as it's the best surprise i've ever had appear on my dash and it was the faith a friend in me that honestly helped so so much <3
