Something 2016 taught me is.........
It is okay to have "bad" feelings and doubts. And if you are in a relationship it would be best to be open and honest about them.
That I need to allow myself more time to be me.
Just do it
I know, from experience, when you're in need of help with mental health issues. You're supposed to reach out for help.
I also know, from experience, you don't always get it.
That helping hand can be so difficult to grasp, not for the lack of trying but, for the lack of understanding.
We know there are no black or white answers. Always shades of grey, like the colours of our thoughts.
Depression, anxieties, PTSD, abuse, mental, physical or both. To many too list.
Those of us with mental health issues are not looking for easy answers or quick fixes. They don't exist. It's retraining your brain. Finding better ways to cope. Learning to forgive the unforgivable. Learning how to move on. We must move on. Being stuck is not an option, it's a grave. When we reach out, ask for help, be that hand to grasp. Don't push us aside for "someone else" to deal with. Often kind words speak volumes. No one has all the answers but, if we stand in a group perhaps the group will have some of the answers. To stand alone is to die. To stand together is to heal.
@AlphaACD Thank you for sharing your post. I could not of said it any better myself. There's is so much truth & reality in your words. We all benefit by reaching out for help & compassion. It is the utter foundation for why we exist on this planet. I believe we've lost connecting with people. Thanks to 7 Cups. ...we can clearly see that.
Best of comfort to you along your journey 💟.
@AlphaACD you said so perfectly " We must move on. Being stuck is not an option, it's a grave." Congratulations to having such great insight. I wish you all the best in 2017. Health, Wealth, Happiness, and Love! 🎆🎆🎆
It's okay to ask for help and sometimes that's the best possible option!!
Each day, each time differs. Sometimes it hurts like hell and sometime it gives us a lot of surprises with happiness too.
Though it hurts deep down, there is always a way out. It's just we have to convince ourself and get ready to accept it. So let's cope and support each other. Live the life we got.
2016 taught many for many people let's not fall or do same mistake the next year and suffer. Next time we will be aware that either to bear pain of thorn or smart enough to slide it away. Be cool, happy and enjoy the life.
@lovehelp Yes!!! 😊😊😊
The quote ' a problem shared, is a problem halved' actually exists.
To leave all the toxic people out of my life and be careful about who I decide to befriend.
Asking for help is not weakness, its adding tools to your toolbox and understand how to better use them... It make life fixing easier
2016 taught me that people don't pay attention as much as you think they do. They don't notice your hair being slightly wrong, they don't notice how big you think your feet are, they don't notice the extra hair on your arms, they don't notice how loud you think you laugh, they don't notice if your nose is a bit wonky. I learned that people are worried enough about keeping themselves in order that they can't tell what small things I feel is out of order with myself.
To be honest it made me feel not so stiff around new people.
@thesmellofdustafterrain That was absolutely beautifully said, and I think it's something a lot of people need to hear!
