Something 2016 taught me is.........
Don't trust so easily
2016 taught me that distractions won't help you that much
2016 taught me that going after a job with more money doesn't always lead to happiness and can ultimately lead to not having that job any longer. It also taught me that being book smart, highly experienced does not always speak to or reach everyone.
No matter how hard the situation, things will get better with time ❤
External injuries can be cured before internal
2016 taught me that I need to put myself and my own needs first. The phrase "You are not required to set yourself on fire to keep others warm" really resonates with me when I look back on the past year. There were so many times that I blamed myself for things that I couldn't control, and I apologized for things that weren't my fault. I kept a toxic person in my life, and I invested way too much time and effort on him, even when I felt that my actions were unreciprocated. I'm going to try my best in 2017 to remember that I matter, and that I don't deserve to be kept on a string and treated with less respect than what I deserve.
@KateB55 So glad to hear you acknowledge that you deserve respect and to be treated better. Good for you to see this a move forward. Males who show this side should be a huge red flag. Good for you- you respect you. Good wishes for you as you go forward.😊😊

Forget the past it, does not define you
Don't talk the talk if you can't walk the walk
A negative mindset attracts a negative reality
Don't be afraid of or change and uncertainty, it allows you to live life to the fullest

That nothing is permanent..things keep changing all the time. So keep holding on tightly ;)
It taught me to be strong.
It taught me I am weak alone.
It also taught me the following:
To let people help because the want to you just have to ask.
That the seeds you sow today will grow
Yet maybe not as fast as you want them to.
That thing good things are available to you
But you need to search for them.
Be thankful for the moment and be in the present.
Not to worry about yesterday or tomorrow and be thankful for today!
If you dont want others to judge you then dont judge others.
Positive energy gets you farther then negative!
You get back what you put into the world!
PRAYER works you just need to believe!
Just be yourself and others will like you more..
