Today I am feeling vulnerable because I tried my best and it wasn't good enough. I never feel good enough because of the verbal abuse that I get.
I feel vulnerable right now as I just deleted the chat with my ex from tinder (our first talks), and deleted him from pairs. It was almost last thing about him and our relationship that I could see on my phone. I deleted our messenger history before as well. I feel very sad as I left myself without smth precious, deleted smth important from my own life, took stones out of my ground. I know I should have done that. Chats were keeping hope in me, bringing idle doubts and reflections... It's a right decision, but I'm feeling so insecure now. :((( Like - omg, what if this a huuuge mistake. I'm a pathetic idiot. :(((
@PennyUA
I just deleted my wife's picture as the background and lockscreen on my phone. And then I cried like a baby because I actually ended up completely deleting it from my phone..
@Racerguy1979 thanx for sharing. Seems like it is both necessary things and inevitably painful :(((((((((((((((( I still keep one photo and literally can't delete it.
Today I am feeling vulnerable because it's been a little over two weeks since my wife told me she wants a separation/divorce. Everyone keeps asking me if I'm okay. I'm not. The last fifteen years of my life are gone. I'm 38 years old. I have two kids. And I'm the only one that seems to care about me.
@Racerguy1979 I can't even begin to imagine how you feel so I won't lie and say I do. It may seem that you have lost all those years but you have also gained two beautiful blessings and so all is not lost. You will see the happy times and memories in their faces and although you are not okay (which is allowed) things will hopefully start to get easier to cope with.
Well done for being able to say that you arnt okay and also for breaking the stereotype that men shouldn't share how they feel or show any emotions. It is important to share how you feel and from other guys seeing your post it could encourage them to be more open about feelings too.
There are people here who do care about you and I'm sure that if you also open with your family and friends you might even get some good support..
My kids are coming home from a weekend away with my in-laws, I know they're going to need me, and I didn't get to emotionally reconnect as much with my husband as I wanted to while they were gone.
I have to start a new a life again. Everything is new. I just feel exposed and alone
@ZeeQueen I'm sorry to hear that. I know it's hard, but it's inevitable. So the only thing to do is to try to make it liveable for yourself. Mourn what's lost, but celebrate what's gained. I truly hope you're able to adjust and get the life you want. You are never alone, even it it may feel that way
@Cake28 Thank you. Mentally I am alone at the moment. I'm sure that I will find a like mind along they way.
I feel like no matter what I will always be alone
@PerpetuallySad I'm struggling with this feeling as well, but I think we're only alone when we aren't surrounded by the right people. Life isn't about being alone. I try to remind myself there's someone out there that cares or will care. But, sometimes we'll only have ourselves. It'll be temporary
@Cake28 God give me enough faith to keep that hope!
I failed to do something my daughter needs me to do.
@Dawnrules We cant always be perfect. She will umderstand eventully! Keep doing your best because thats all you can do!
I got into a fight with some of my friends and my dad is drinking a lot more lately.
@Tori503 I understand the feeling of having a fight with friends. I once had a year-long fight with my two best friends. What's important is that you guys put aside the anger, talk to each other and try to truly understand what the other is feeling. Now, as for your dad, I'm very sorry for that. If it's something new, I believe you should bring it up and share your concern with him. Maybe it will help. I hope things get better for you soon
@Tori503 while I agree Was talking through things… I also believe that change is good for the soul. We are all on different growth paths. We are not meant to be with the same people our whole life. I think its part of an attachment issue our culture has… That doesnt mean you wont have close friends… But it does keep you are open and available to other wonderful positive things to come! For you and for others! Remember that we are meant to be here for others too!
I cry in front of people frequently and I feel like they look at me different but offer no support which makes me feel more embarrassed
@Heiheij I've gone through something similar, but there's nothing to be embarrassed about. You have your right to express your feelings and it sounds like you're going through a lot. I hope someone extends their hand to help.
@Cake28 Thank you so much. Its really helpful to know im not alone. I always wear my hesrt on my sleeve but not everyone understands it.
@Heiheij Of course. And I admire that, because not a lot of people are like that. You just keep doing what you do as long as it stays true to what you want for yourself
Because I keep hurting my husband emotionally and he won't take my apology anymore...I keep makung the people around me unhappu
@Awfultoughts I'm sorry to hear that. I think you should try to work on what you're doing that's hurting your husband and dealing with that. Once he sees your improvement and you show him you're sorry rather than saying it, I believe things will improve between you. At one point in life, you want actions not words. I know you have what it takes to fix things. As for your other relationships, I get it. So many times I've felt I'm ruining everything with everybody. And sometimes, I've been right. But, it hasn't always been just my fault. It's a two way street. Regardless, I figured out that there was something in me that needed changing for my relationships to work out. I'm still trying, but trying is how you succeed.
