I had a huge fight with my boyfriend on whos making the bigger sacrifice as I told my mum I would like to date outside of my race. My mother felt ill and he feels Im not doing enough. I am stuck between a rock and a hard place and its always the same thing that causes me to feel horrible.

Today I'm feeling vulnerable for a few reasons. I have to do a presentation in front of a large class, just a year ago I tried doing a POL recitation and I had a panic attack, (or two), and cried in front of the entire class. Im also super vulnerable because I have no idea what to do with my life, and I don't know what to do anymore. I honestly don't want to be a live anymore, I don't have any happiness left.

I lost my dad a few years ago and I am struggling with handling that loss and all the feelings that come with it

I feel vulnerable because I'm afraid to sleep again cause I could see his face clearly in my mind. He being sick ,suffering..pretending to be fine and not wanting me to experience that at all .

I am afraid I won't sleep the whole night or dream of him again and be completely out of the line the next day. This year is very hard again on the important days in a year like Birthday, Christmas..and next year on

I know it's good I'm in that second round now of coping with the feelings but it's hard . Nobody will really understand that at all and I think I'll bother people during the night texting them

Giving me thoughts like oh man this again.

@Lalagin oh my love, I hear you. I lost my dad 3 years ago at Christmas and my mum this February. I was just getting to grips with dad when mum died. I cant tell you it gets easier. Xmas, birthdays, Fathers Day, Mothers Day, all these things hurt and hurt and hurt again. Theres no time limit on grief. It will absolutely get easier. Itll probably never get better. The people who dont understand will never understand and the people who do will never let you down. Dont ever be ashamed or feel like a burden. Your feelings are there and real. If people cant look after you at the hard times they dont deserve to be your friend.

im running away from my feelings myself this year but being here has helped so much. Youve done the right thing. Dont stop talking, dont stop telling people you love that youre hurting. And dont stop looking oking for ways to cope with the grief. Its there and you need to work through it x

@QueenAwesome I understand that feeling. I was put on meds for depression 15 years ago. I came out of the surgery and sat in the floor and cried. I felt like a complete failure. How come l, the happiest person ever, be on medication for depression? I came to understand it was a chemical imbalance and I needed help to fix that. I then worked on alternative ways of raising my seratonin levels more naturally and Ive been drug free for 10 years. Ive had rough times, but Ive never needed to go back to drugs because I recognise the signs and I work on the things I need to work on that help. You can probably get there too. Start with the drugs to level you out and get you chemically normal. Give it time, then talk to your doctor about alternative therapies and coping strategies. You are not failing because you need help, you have an imbalance that needs addressing. Today it needs chemicals. In time it might need deep breathing exercises and a good talking to yourself. Dont be ashamed, be empowered xx

@QueenAwesome I'm currently on meds and I was in the same position. I completely understand how you feel and know you're not alone. Also you're not a failure! Sometimes our bodies and brains can't process fast enough for us, sometimes we malfunction. Give yourself some time to give it a chance and see if it works for you. And if it does, go with the flow and take steps to make yourself happy with whatever makes you happy. And I promise things can get better. I've been managing and ran into obstacles but nothing anxiety doesn't usually give you, but it's a process and everyones body is different. I hope you find what works for you! And it's important to remember: don't do anything you don't want to do or feel uncomfortable with. I had a fear of doctors talking at me with medication but I was fortunate to find a very unconventional doctor who listened to me and my needs. And she was very informative on my meds and what my options were.

I am on Day 2 of no contact (self-induced) w/my ex. Who, as cliche as it sounds, really is...was my best friend. The one person in the world that I 100% could be myself around. Now, Im just on all the time. Its exhausting some days, my anxiety level is higher, which causes insomnia most of the time and my ADHD is heightened. I am a pure joy to be around.....

@jdb87 I know its tough, but try not to beat yourself up for being vulnerable. Your feelings are important and sometimes you wont give your all to various aspects of your life to make sure you give other parts the time they need.

Youll come out of it and get some balance back. Make sure you talk to people and work through what you need. X
