Today I forgive myself for just not knowing...not knowing how to talk to my daughter about her suicidal feelings, not knowing how to deal with it inside myself, and a million more things that, as a mom, I feel like I SHOULD know, but I don't. I'm still open to learning though, and that's gotta count for something too.
I forgive myself for letting him break me.
For being unfocused and sabotaging my future with my irresponsible behaviour
I forgive myself for not feeling worthy of a wonderful life.., for PROTECTING my abusers, for protecting them FOR SO LONG, for BEING IN DENIAL of their abuse of me, for DEFENDING my abusers WHILE I WAS IN DENIAL about their abuse

It sounds like you've been through a lot. Don't beat yourself up for the way you dealt with things, at least you know now how you were supposed to deal with those things and that's commendable well done. You must be thinking clearer now and that's a positive step forward. Hugs.
