Me too. Im also scared to ask because people already think I'm going to fail due to my past history with drugs and asking for help confirms that

I would say it proves the contrary. To my limited knowledge, people don't go to get help before getting back on drugs. If you fear a relapse and want help , a part of your self worth and self awareness is definitely ok. The other one needs help. Heck, would you refuse to go to the doctor if one of your health problems had responded to treatment but not the other?
This is so trivial I know, but I will avoid asking someone to repeat themselves until the day I die. I just find the situation incredibly awkward and I dont want to come across as rude... or cause the speaker frustration. Instead of saying pardon? or sorry? I just smile and nod... perhaps give a vague smile and laugh... then leave ASAP.

Depends if you believe in evolution, which I do, and is is miraculous to see the energy , the resilience of life, its wonderful vibrant vitality. But in my opinion there is no real meaning. Just a wonderful work of life and ingenuity.
